Fine for maybe getting an early flight from O’Hare

If you just need a room by the airport this is fine for the night. Staff is friendly and accommodating, room comfort fair. The location is terrible unless your goal is just to get to or from the airport. Nothing at all in the vicinity, not even a convenience store. Also, the “restaurant” is open only for breakfast and closes at 9am.

The picture is very deceiving. The hotel was not in a safe area and the structure of the rooms were not safe. The hotel was so old that the doors to our room did not close securely. We left after the first night to another hotel.

My Stay at the Quality Inn

I chose to stay at this particular hotel based on the online reviews that I saw. Honestly, I’m not a super picky person, but I was pretty disappointed by the service at this hotel. The cable TV didn’t work, the vending machines didn’t work, they had one washer and dryer for three buildings, both treadmills in the gym were broken with no repair timeframe. The washing machine money slot would get stuck from time to time and not take your quarters. The bathroom tub was clogged. I reported it, but it wasn’t repaired. The restaurant and bar are under staffed as well as the front desk. The staff members appear to be doing the best that they can but they need help. The hotel is under going renovations but it should be closed during this time period in my opinion. As I said earlier I was extremely disappointed by the service at the Quality Inn. The only plus was its proximity to the airport and the shuttle service. I truly hope that they improve their facilities and their customer service.

Clean and basic

This basic hotel was suitable for our one overnight before catching a regional bus to Wisconsin. We waited around 45 minutes for our airport shuttle but the ride back the next day was swift. Breakfast was just OK. Maybe provide some protein, like yogurt or eggs.

Checked in about 1am and there was blasting music from the bar. Lots of people still up. The door handle didn’t work on the door so I had to go back to the desk and he actually came up to the room to let me in. No elevator.

2 nights at the quality in ORD

The conditions of the room was good. The bathroom tub was drain was runing slow but this was fixed in my two day stay. The desk staff were polite and willing to help. I ate at the Qbar next door. My first meal was excellent and priced well. I liked it so much i went the next night. My next meal was the worst a big thumbs down. I order the calamari, i am surprised the chef let that plate left the kitchen!!! Over cooked, stiff, it looked like they used the cheapest breading they could find. I ended up tossing it in the garbage. I complained, but just got a sorry.

Upon checking in, they sent us to a separate building that was dark and questionable looking. We tried to make the best of it but I sat on the bed and took off my shoes and socks and within 10 mins of sitting on top of the covers, my feet and calves started feeling itchy and I noticed little bites i didn’t have before. We picked up our stuff and went back to the front desk and asked to be put in a different room.

Pictures do not line up with the quality of the property. Breakfast was closed before 8:30 despite stating it was available 6-9am. Front desk male staff was rude on different occasions. when an issue was presented, staff essentially stated it wasn’t his problem due to him not being there. Had to wait until 4am for a room change due to no AC in first room. Second room’s door wouldn’t close/lock (anyone can just use the handle and open the door even with the door lock). Also, hotel access would never be secured, so anyone could enter the property at all hours, including side doors. Only redeeming qualities were the bar and housekeeping staff. Breakfast was only toast, cereal, and mini muffins. Overall a horrible stay.
