As someone who hates to have to talk to people outside of work, the setup of the key code and housekeeping was perfect. I just had to show up and drop my bag in the luggage storage until it was time to check in. It’s in a great location when considering proximity and also peace and quiet. Will book again for feature stays

Buyer beware!

Our hotel room was clean and the kitchen was well appointed. The bed was comfy and and tidy as well. HOWEVER, I would definitely hesitate to recommend staying here as there is a nightclub that was directly below our room. The middle of the night we were awoken (both nights) with very loud, raucous partiers, shouting and laughing and car horns(uber rides) jockeying for positions. The blowing hits were incessant. That’s too bad because other than that, for the price it was a fine place to stay. This was our second stay there. Not sure we’ll be back unless we get a room far away from the revelers

Nightclub on first floor

Place looked great, lots of amenities, clean, beautiful space. However there was no front desk and kind of confusing to get booked in. WORST OF ALL after a long night in Chicago all we wanted to do was sleep but we were kept up until 4am from the night club on the first floor. Would not stay again unless i was there to party haha.

One night - in and out for CC! Lowest priced hotel when the tickets dropped — thought they had parking — they did not — it was not impossible to find free street parking though. Will stay here probably anytime I come to the city! Very pleased

Such a great stay we already booked another one

This was our first time at a Sonder and we loved it. I used the app to ask questions which was very helpful. Everything was very clear through emails and the app, no front desk to check in and out which was nice. Others commented that it's above a club and it's noisy. We live in the city and are used to sleeping in it so it didn't bother us at all but if bass music thumping will keep you up rather than lull you to sleep this may not be the right spot for you. This is close to everything we love about Chicago (mostly good food and the L) visits so we already booked another stay here for September.

The overall stay was 4.5 stars for me but objectively I'd say 3.5 stars. I stayed in room 209 which was definitely above the nightclub and the sound could be heard throughout the night. The subway train was also close and could be heard. I slept with my earbuds and had no problem sleeping but I could feel the vibrations from club below. I can see how some people could have hard time sleeping in that environment. The walls were thin and I could smell what people were cooking in other rooms but the food smelled delicious so I was just jealous. The water pressure was great and the bathroom was clean and sizable. The shower floors are slippery and there are no handles inside for holds so some precautions against falling would improve the bathroom. I did have a stomach drop slip for a sec but recovered so don't recommend doing that. Area near by has restaurants and Fulton Market is like 15ish walk so plenty to do and see. Parking is not cheap but you know you're in Chicago. Union Parking was closest long term parking and I had no issues walking back and forth with my baggage. There are only stairs accessible as far as I can tell so be ready for some cardio. Overall pleasant and affordable stay. I will come back but will prefer 3rd or 4th floor options for my future stays.

Not a safe location...stay somewhere else!

For security, DO NOT STAY HERE. This property is 100% NOT STAFFED ON SITE. I was trapped in the elevator for over 90 minutes, had to call 911 for help! I've reached out MULTIPLE TIMES, and have not heard back after over a week. Also, there's a nightclub on the first floor that is SO LOUD, the building vibrates. On street parking is impossible, just like speaking to an actual person for help. Be warned.

We always have a great experience when staying with Sonder, and this accommodation in Chicago was no exception. It’s located in a quiet area, just a few minutes' walk from a metro line that takes you downtown in only 4–5 stops, making it very convenient for visiting the main attractions. The room was spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline from the 5th floor. I can only recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago — we would definitely stay here again!
