Bad management from Klamath Falls Shilo Inn

Was a 4 1/2 hr drive from home to Klamath Falls. In Susanville, Ca the road to Klamath Falls was totally closed to traffic due construction and would not reopen until 4pm that afternoon. We could not make it to Klamath Falls for another 2 and 1/2 hours after the road reopened at 4pm. So we sought accommadations in another community that we could travel to and attempted to cancel the reservation in Klamath Falls. The clerk answering the phone refused to believe us and refused to communicate in a rational way. We were not able to cancel that reservation. Unfortunately that is one of our favorite places to stay when we make the trip from Ca to Oregon. We won't be booking there again.

Place to eat all around an close. Beds wear uncomfortable like sleeping on the ground the free breakfast was a joke all they hade was frozen burritos, muffins, hard boiled eggs and juice and cups of cereal. When told the management about the beds being uncomfortable, he said, well, that's my opinion and that's just too bad. Will not recommend anybody for this hotel and their restaurant that they advertised was closed .down.

It’s conveniently located on the highway. Room was spacious and clean, though the hotel was old side. Our room was on 4th floor and we could see Klamath lake.

The staff were kind and helpful. The room was simple, but nice, outdated, and did the trick. It didn’t feel dirty, but it didn’t appear that the bathtub and entry sink were scrubbed that well. The automatic front doors were broken and signs were duct taped to the doors to advertise the fact, not a great first impression. Also, the hot tub was out of order which wasn’t mentioned at any time and I had looked forward to using it. The breakfast options were more varied than I expected! Overall, I would stay here again, but would just keep my expectations in check.

The room was spacious, clean, and pleasantly decorated. However, the internet service was intermittent and inconvenient to use. The staff was not knowledgeable and while there was coffee in the room, there were no tea bags available in the evening for non-coffee drinkers.
