The hotel is in good shape and the rooms have been kept in a good shape and have the modern amenities that people enjoy. One downside is that the room air conditioning is not individually controlled in your room, it is controlled by the hotel. The restaurant is horrible and needs attention by the hotel senior management.

Room was excellent, hotel brilliantly located and staff very friendly. The only small point I would make is regarding breakfast. As we had to catch the early ferry, we had to miss breakfast as breakfast at weekends starts at 7am rather than 6.30. If it was 6.30 every day that would help everyone to get breakfast before leaving for the ferry at the weekend

It was our first time staying at the Crowne Plaza in Christchurch, and we absolutely loved it, definitely worth coming back. Check-in was slightly slow, which could be improved. The room was beautiful, though the body moisturizer didn’t pump properly and may have been empty. There was also no complimentary water bottle provided. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff were wonderful.

I will never use Travelocity to book a room or a flight again. Other than the receptionist at the hotel being pleasant they made it very clear that a booking through a third party did not have the same status. Even though I had clearly communicated that we would be a day late getting to Christchurch, and the hotel communicated back, they still had my reservation all messed up and it a very long time to get it straightened out and they let me know it was due to booking through a third party. I am with a group and have also let everyone know not to book through services like yours. It was a very bad experience, never again. Jim McDermott

Nice hotel, short walk to all the shops and restaurants. Very close to the Casino, and the Tram pick up is right out front. The Bar has some good Happy Hour specials everyday. The Staff were all very nice. We would stay there again.
