Quarry Cottage Courtyard Garden - Pass the Keys
About this space
My home is a beautiful Cotswold cottage only a 15 minute walk from the centre of the vibrant market town Cirencester. There is one double, one twin and a further top floor room with workspace and day bed, that can be used as an additional single bed on request at time of booking. The cottage comfortably sleeps 5 and is perfect for family or friends.
My cottage strikes a lovely balance between contemporary modern day comfort, whilst maintaining it’s original stone work and flag stone features.
The space
My delightful cottage is a fantastic base from which to experience Cirencester and also explore the Cotswolds, and everything it has to offer.
The cottage spans three floors, giving plenty of space and privacy for guests. The style is balanced between maintaining original features and a contemporary feel, making the cottage a wonderful place to stay!
The downstairs layout has a wonderful and comfortable living area at the front of the property, leading through to a modern fully equipped kitchen which also has a separate dining room. There are patio doors that lead out to our private courtyard garden area, with seating; a perfect way to unwind after a long day exploring!
The first floor has the master bedroom with a double bed, a further twin bedroom with two single beds and the family bathroom with bath & a shower. On the top floor there's a room with a single day bed and a dedicated workspace, perfect if you need a bit of privacy and quiet! PLEASE note the day bed is available on request, and there is a small additional charge of £15 per night. Please advise at the time of booking if you require the day bed so we can provide bedding.
All bedrooms come with hotel quality crisp cotton sheets, fluffy towels for each guest and complementary toiletries.
A small baby cot (brand Redkite, size 95cm x 65cm, up to 15 kg) and a high chair are available. Please let us know if you wish to use them.
Please no smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property.
CHECK IN
Check in time is from 3pm but we will try to let you get into the cottage sooner, if requested. It just depends if we have guests staying the night before. Please try to give as much notice as possible with your arrival time and update on the day with any changes / delays.

Where you’ll be
Cirencester is a wonderfully vibrant market town. Known as Corinium during Roman times, this historic town is just minutes from beautiful countryside, picturesque Cotswold villages, the Cotswolds Water Park and surrounding lakes, as well as having good road links via the M4 and M5 motorways.
There are lovely walks right on your doorstep, as well as The Plough pub offering excellent local cuisine. The town centre is around 15 minutes from the property, with a great range of shops, local boutiques, numerous independent cafés and restaurants. There is also a regular market selling local produce in the town square, adjacent to the 12th century Cirencester Abbey and the Corinium museum.
Take a walk up the stunning Cirencester Park, where you will find Roots & Shoots cafe and children's play area tucked away. There is also the the open air swimming pool, fed by a natural spring and heated to 26C.
Cirencester town centre has an exciting wide range of food and drink places to suit everyone. Some of my favourites include Sultan & Rajdoot (Indian Cuisine), Thai Emerald (Thai Cuisine), La Passione & Amore Mio (Italian Cuisine), Sam & Jak's, the Malt & Anchor and The Fleece (European / English Cuisine).
There is a local convenience store and post office 20 metres from the cottage . There are many supermarkets in town and on the outskirts, including Tesco Extra & Waitrose.
Slightly further afield you will be able to visit some of the delightful local towns and villages, for example Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold. The Cotswold Wildlife Park is well worth a visit about 30 minutes drive away.
Getting around
Cirencester can be explored on foot, and there are many local wonderful walks.
The closest train station is Kemble Train Station, around a 13 minutes drive.
The closest bus stop is located on Cheltenham Road - by the Old Meeting Hall, Stratton (opposite the cottage). The bus 51 goes directly to Cirencester Town. The same bus also has a direct connection to Cheltenham
There are also local buses that can take you to the surrounding towns and villages.
