All our rooms are ensuite except two family rooms, which share a separate bathroom. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Free WiFi, no TV
SELF CATERING
Our Community Room’s self-catering kitchen is fully equipped.
Make your own meals, use the fridge for storing your food, eat at the communal table and relax in the comfy chairs.
With plenty of nearby supermarkets and restaurants you won't go hungry.
We also offer group catering options through our cafe, Blend. The skilled team can offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options either in The Barrel Store or their sunny cafe, located on the mezzanine floor of New Brewery Arts (situated next door to The Barrel Store).
A STYLISH HOSTEL
Our hostel takes its name from its former life as the barrel store for the historic Cirencester Brewery that once dominated this part of the town. The remaining brewery buildings are home to New Brewery Arts, a charity that runs the Barrel Store and has a mission to connect people with the hand-made, promote the joy and fulfilment of making and celebrate the role of craft and creativity in all our lives. This relationship with craft is evident within The Barrel Store, with artisan-made pieces on display throughout the hostel. This partnership with a local charity means that all of the profit from The Barrel Store directly supports our local community. We are one of the most environmentally-friendly hostels in the UK. In fact, The Barrel Store was the first Passivhaus hostel in the UK and a finalist in the 2018 Passivhaus Awards - a building standard for ultra-low energy buildings
