Relax in this 1903 converted farmhouse that retains hints of the original farm charm! This 1st floor apartment is located just 3 miles from downtown Cleveland or a 7 minute drive to the Cleveland Clinic, Browns Stadium or Progressive Field. Additionally, this apartment offers free off-street private parking. Flying in? This VRBO is less than 15 minutes away or a $15 Uber ride. Enjoy a small town feel with city proximity.

**9/17/24 had the front porch (main entrance) rebuilt and the iron handrail stabilized. Added a photo of the stairs and handrail.


Dining/Kitchen Highlights:
The Cle Retreat is located on the 1st floor of the house with 1 private entrance through the front door of the house. Upon entrance guests will find a full-size dining table and chairs to host a dinner party if they want! The apartment offers a large spacious kitchen equipped with a full-size oven/stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, & toaster oven. In addition to the kitchen appliances, the cabinets & drawers are stocked with various cooking tools, dishware, & utensils.

Bathroom Highlights:
Off the kitchen guests will find the bathroom that offers a full-size shower stall and plenty of hot water. The bathroom is on the smaller side, but functional for your bathroom needs.

Bedroom Highlights:
Off the family room is the single bedroom that features a plush bamboo memory foam queen mattress decorated with large goose down pillows. The bedroom features a sweet little reading nook, a clothing rack with hangers, an iron & ironing board. At the base of the bed is a flat screen television that offers free Netflix on a private wireless network & Roku for logging into other channels such as HBO or Hulu.

Family Room Highlights:
The family room offers a queen pullout sofa that can comfortably sleep 2 extra people. We also offer a flat screen Roku TV where guests can access their Netflix or other network accounts on a private wireless network. In the corner of the room guests will find a sweet tin top table for those that need to get work done. Lastly, the entire apartment is equipped with its own central furnace & window A/C units that are under the control of the guest.

Yard/Parking Highlights:
The retreat is located on a large unfenced property that offers a large grassy backyard for guests with small children who want to safely run around & get some fresh air. Lastly, the retreat offers one free private parking on the premises that is under 24hour camera surveillance, which is ideal for guests traveling with a fully packed vehicle. The retreat is located in a very safe family friendly neighborhood with the police station located one street over.

PETS: Pets are allowed with the additional cost of $15 per pet - per night. Limited to 3 pets per stay.

The only positive thing I can say is that it was close to a nice neighborhood and the beach. Unfortunately, the property itself was disappointing. The actual location is in a sketchy area, and the listing photos were very carefully framed to hide flaws. The décor felt mismatched, the wallpaper in the kitchen was peeling, and the paint job was sloppy with many areas missed, leaving it looking unfinished. The kitchen itself felt sticky and unclean. Overall, the property did not meet expectations, and I would not stay here again.

Lay out inside home was not convenient Bathroom that had shower was connected to kitchen not a bedroom, The bathroom that had shower was so small you could not get ready in it, size of shower was so small a person could barely fit, shower needs to be replaced it was clean but stained. Bed in main bedroom was very uncomfortable, did appreciate the coffee that was provided.

Clean, convenient, cheerful

The property is conveniently located for driving to Cleveland Clinic and Edgewater Park. It is very clean. And feels comfortable because the decor has cheerful bright accents. The neighborhood feels safe. The upstairs neighbors are quiet. The hosts were easy to communicate with and gave me a great recommendation to check out Edgewater Park. The bathroom with the shower is tight and might be a challenge for someone with mobility issues. But the half bath has plenty of room. Very pleasant stay!

Lakewood 2 Bedroom No Laundry?

The listing indicated that laundry amenities were included. I saw a dryer vent at the exterior wall and knew the washer/dryer was in the basement. However, there was a sign posted that read, “Sorry no guest access.” When I asked the host about access she said the unit didn’t include a laundry, wanted me to sent screen shots of the property description that indicated laundry amenities were include, and sent me instructions to a local laundromat. Our visit to Cleveland was the 3rd leg of an extended trip. Staying at property with laundry facilities was a top priority. I felt cheated. The shower was small with jury-rigged plumbing and difficult to control the temperature. The living room could use a couple ottomans and a lamp shade. We didn't have enough paper towels on hand and used wash cloths for napkins. The house is in a great location and comfortable except for this items previously mentioned.

The day of check in, I had to call and message host for entry instructions-a little stressful/annoying on your travel day.We stayed for Case Western Graduation. Great location. Property description is fair-kitchen and bathrooms are clean, as were the sheets and towels. Appreciated the coffee set up. The sofa and living room rug however were stained and gross. It looked like college dorm ick. So, for the price, consider what’s important to you and how you’ll be using the space.

We came to Cleveland for a concert. We decided to check out Vrbo and we are glad we did! Our stay was exceptional, we had parking, accommodations were great, our rental was very clean,& slept great! We were even given early arrival!Would definitely recommend!!!

Perfect weekend stay!

We stayed here for the weekend to visit family on the Westside of Cleveland. The location was perfect! We could walk to stores, restaurants and parks for the kids! We had ample beautiful neighborhood streets to walk the dog. Host was very responsive, check in/out was super easy. Property was clean and exactly as described. Was perfect for us with two small kids. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Nice place for Cleveland Clinic access

Needed an easy place to stay for some appointments at Cleveland Clinic. This fit the bill. I will say the rooms are a little smaller then you would expect from the pictures but it is clean and cozy.
