The location is the prime feature of this house. You can't beat the beachfront access and view from the second floor. The house itself is a little rough. The pictures make it seem much more modern and polished than it really is. Downstairs smells musty and a little dingy, but upstairs was okay. While the upper story has central air, the bottom floor has window or wall units throughout - ours leaked through the whole stay and was the source of the musty smell. We also didn't love that there was no good communal table area for all of us to gather together to eat or play games. The downstairs beds could use new mattresses.Some plusses are that it truly does offer a lot of privacy for multiple family renters, as each little apartment has its own bathroom and kitchenette. It also came with all the basic appliances and utensils we needed. The beach canopies and chairs were great.We did have a couple maintenance issues that the property manager responded to in a timely fashion but were not resolved during our stay - namely the upstairs dryer didn't run a full cycle (stops after a few minutes), the leaky AC unit, and one of the glass light covers from the fan and light outside randomly fell and shattered all over the deck.Overall, this is an okay place to stay if you value privacy and need space for multiple families and want a great view and beach access. We would use Happy Palm Stays again, but probably not return to that house.
