Loved our stay! We can’t say enough about how wonderful the staff and experience was! Joel was so kind and gave us a warm welcome. The room was unique and comfortable. Coimbra is beautiful, but the hotel made the stay phenomenal! Great rooftop to relax and every thing was perfect! Highly recommend!

A great find. Right by the river and in the centre of Coimbra. A very unique hotel with some fabulously quirky design features. Very nice buffet breakfast too with great views of the river.

This is an amazing property with a book/library theme throughout. Perfect, as Coimbra is famous for its library and University. Decoration and finishes very unique. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast fabulous with a roof top patio overlooking the city. Right next door to a shopping and restaurant district. Great Faro music events in the neighborhood. Take an Uber up to the University and Library, (its a long, steep, hot walk otherwise.) Boutique Hotel with only 3 rooms to a floor. STAY HERE!

All the hotel staff, and especially Helena, were friendly and helpful. The rooms are uniquely decorated in a cool and unique ‘marble library’ motif. The shower works great and the bed is comfortable. The location is convenient to the university and the rail station. One critique: the water closet is in a separate room (good) but the door and wall are clear glass, floor to ceiling (not good unless you’re an exhibitionist).

The hotel was great and a bit different with the book themed bathrooms. The breakfast was good and the ability to get drinks and cakes at other times was a nice and useful touch. The location was very central, albeit there were roadworks outside at the time of our visit.

Really cool little hotel (16 room) in the center on Coimbra. Rooms are all very well decorated. Breakfast in good quality. In the middle of most of the sights and restaurants - the university is at the top of the hill which is a “challenging” walk. Only issue was the reception - not always somebody there for checkin and door is locked.

Beautiful boutique hotel! So unique! The bathroom is set up like a library and the sink is an open book. The designer was so creative! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable too! The staff were all very nice and helpful too. I recommend the property! (Pay attention to their instructions for dropping off luggage and parking your car to avoid confusion. We did and it was simple!)

A beautiful hotel in a prime location. We walked the whole city. The library theme in the hotel was amazing and made for an interesting stay. Parking across the river was easy and just a short walk across the bridge after dropping off our luggage.

The decor is so interesting, I had a moment of surprise when I realized the shower looked like it had real books on shelves. Its not real but it isn't wallpaper either I really enjoyed being able to go up to the breakfast room and have tea ir coffee whenever The staff was very helpful and willing to talk about the area. Gave us good recommendations for restsurants.

This property, with its beautiful library theme, is both whimsical and magical. The staff were so helpful and kind throughout our 5 day stay. Our room was well appointed- comfortable, clean and quiet. There is a terrace room where breakfast is served with beautiful views of the city. Each afternoon, tea and fresh cake were available to guests in this space that was quiet and peaceful. We will certainly return to this lovely property.
