A place to come back with kind hosts

The Colonial House is a place where I would always stay again when I am in Havana as the rooms are nice and especially the hosts are kind and helpful. I stayed at the beginning of the long blackout but the water of the shower was still hot

Colonial building with kind and helpful hosts

I was lucky to have stayed at the Colonial House after I had been unlucky with my transportation from the airport. It is necessary to pay the normal prices for taxis even if they are high, as you are getting robbed in cheaper ones. Don’t leave valuables in the trunk of a taxi. Anyway, at the Colonial House they have been very helpful when I told them what happened, they also helped me to get cash which is difficult if you didn’t bring cash for changing. The room I stayed in during my first night was a room in a colonial style, which was interesting, however the normal rooms are actually enough. All rooms are always very clean. I can fully recommend this place

Property was clean quiet safe and private near to all places of interest, restaurants and transportation. There hot water in rain shower, good air-conditioning and fan and small fridge inside room. Only inconvenience is not having elevator as the property is located on top floor. It wasn't a problem for me at all but for someone who is not use to go up and down a long set of stairs could be a challenge other than that the place was a reasonable price and you get your money worth. The property managers Teresa and Cecilia were pleasant and attentive and provided good local recommendation on places to dine or visit.

We stayed three days but we didn’t like.first is many stairs to go up is like you go in 6 floor.second you have to ask for coffee in the morning otherwise they don’t give to you and they give you one tiny cup.and third they never clean your room they just open it every day just to check it.

Exceptional Hospitality

If you are thinking about booking this Case, just do it. The location is exceptional, the area is safe and Ceci and her family make Havana accessible to foreigners. I cannot recommend this place enough. The room is private, clean and has air con. It is the perfect jumping off point to visiting Havana.

If you are heading to Old Havana this Casa is excellent to stay at, Ce Ce and her family are wonderful hosts they cannot do enough for you, yes its basic but it has all that you need a comfortable clean bed and a working bathroom, the cleanliness is outstanding,I'm a travel agent and only usually stay 5* but will definitely stay here again if I ever go back, you're 2 blocks from the central of Old Havana but its extremely safe and the area is excellent... I cannot stress enough how welcoming and accommodating the owners are... THANK YOU for a wonderful end to a wonderful trip to Cuba
