My room flooded. I was moved at 330 AM. Then moved again at 630 AM due to no water. Then my new room was good. No idea what happen but it was messy. The people there were nice though.

Despite some emergency that closed half the hotel, including the elevators, my gripe is that the door to our room was locked from the inside. First I was told to turn the knob up but because the latch was locked from the inside, we had to wait on maintenance to come open it. It took him 10 minutes to respond and close

I think the property was great outside the beds were uncomfortable but maybe thats just me ......also the room we reserved in the tower building a/c didnt work great nor the refrigerator....but i was on vacation so we wasn't there til the evening/night. Then they had a pipe break so.I woke up to a text at 5 a.m. they we needed to get a new room witch was fine but when we got to the new room it was nicer then the original room and everything worked great.......thats a really good thing but...why was my original room so lack there of considering i booked a good time in advanced.... Honestly this could be a nice place and staff is very helpful and breakfast is great just lacking in alot of other areas.

The academy hotel was great it was great for families. My Son had so much playingWith all the kids. Alot to do the room was very comfortable we love the bed. The breakfast was awesome the omelettes were amazing. The staff was so kind we will return.

I wanted to give this place high marks. I really did because for the most part it was fine. The dining was good, both the restaurant and breakfast. The staff were great too. The part that took the most points away was what happened on our checkout day and the lack of information about the situation that was given. We woke up to no running water, and no phones. Apparently, we weren't supposed to have power either, which would have caused issues as my hubby has a cpap which would have stopped working. The 3rd floor boiler broke (these things happen), which shut down the elevator. The only one for the tower by the way. Water ran into one of the stairwells (which turned that into a hazard). The issue no one on staff told anyone. We had to ask what was going on as we were on the 4th floor. Thankfully they had someone come help us with the luggage as I have a heart condition. But the lack of communication in this regard was the biggest reason for the rating. There were small things like our AC unit made noise the entire time and sorta kept the room cold. Those were things we could deal with. But not telling us that things were bad that morning until we asked was not good. A simple note on the door would have been fine. Now good things besides what I already mentioned, the lobby is beautiful and the location was convenient to a variety of things to do. We didn't get a chance to check the pool out but it looked like everyone was having fun that we saw in there.
