USAFA: Mountain Cottage backs to National Forrest

Enter the home on the main level, with large windows offering you a panaramic view of Pikes National Forest. This open living space includes a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, and living area with a wood burning stove. Your group will love spending time together in this space. On the main level you also have access to one bedroom, a full bathroom, office, and a balcany overlooking the sprawling trees and mountain views. Down to the lower level is a family/movie room with a cozy couch in view of 55” Smart TV ready for streaming. The lowest level has access to the back patio, and additional 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms.

Outdoors

Outdoor spaces are what Colorado is all about and this home is nestled perfectly in a scenic mountain landscaping. The lower back deck is a great place to relax and take in what Colorado has to offer. Gather around the built in gas fire pit, soak in the private/secluded hot tub, or grill out on the gas BBQ, and enjoy dinner at the outdoor dining table. Whether it's coffee in the morning or a cold beverage in the evening, this will be your favorite space to relax!

Bedrooms

The bedrooms feature brand new, super comfy mattresses, high quality bedding, plenty of pillows and we provide fresh, high quality linens for your comfort. There are two bedrooms with king beds and two bedrooms with queen beds at this property.

Wildlife and Animals

You may encouter neighboring farm dogs or farm animals while at the property. Due to the property backing up to a national forest, you will also encounter wildlife of all kinds. This does include potentially dangerous animals such as bears, elk, etc.

Children

Those travelling with little ones will love that we have a pack n play, high chair, and kids toys and books. We also have kids plates, cups and flatware. Because this home is located near a national forest with lots of wildlife, we do advise that children are always monitored when outdoors.

There is a laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board onsite. We provide laundry detergent for you to use.

Bathrooms

There are three full bathrooms with full size bathtub and showers. We provide spa quality bodywash, hand soap, cotton swabs and extra rolls of toilet paper.

Parking

The property has a two car garage and large driveway that will accomodate multiple vehicles for private off street parking.

Driving

The drive to the house is mostly paved, however you will encounter a short half mile drive along a graded dirt road approaching the property and home. Vehicles with 4WD/AWD are highly encouraged during winter season as no refunds will be issued to guests unable to navigate the roads due to road/weather conditions

Thank you for sharing your ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL mountain home!! Stunning, breathtaking mountain view with easy access to amenities and shopping within a 15 min drive. Home is simply decorated with a modern yet cottage vibe and so much space!!! Immaculately clean, well stocked with utensils, appliances, and supplies. EASY check in and check out process and spectacular communication with owner. Loved the pop up shop!! Such a cute and fun touch!! Brilliant idea!! We can't wait to stay here again!! 10 stars if we could!!!

As others have mentioned, the photos don’t do this house and location justice! The house is spacious and had room for everyone. My daughter was excited to find the little hidden playroom; and I was too as that room wasn’t shown in the photos. We loved watching the wildlife everyday out back and hated to even leave the house because we didn’t want to miss anything exciting. I would recommend this house to anyone! The only minor things that may need attention are:We could have used a few more coffee mugs (only found 4 in the kitchen , and we never found any steak knives. And additional hand towels in the bathrooms would be nice (only had one in each bathroom).

The house and property are beautiful. This was a perfect weekend escape for a friend’s wedding. We would absolutely stay here again. Keep an eye out for deer, elk, and bears! We saw all three from the patio.

Absolutely gorgeous home with spectacular views! The hosts were very kind and responded promptly to any questions we had. Four adults and four children (ages 8-12) were very comfortable the entire time. Great playroom! Conveniently located. Highly recommended!

Great vacation house!

What a great house! The view can’t be beat. Four bedrooms, plus an office, a game room with a foosball table, a den with a kids reading book, and two patios with a hot tub. The drive can be tricky in bad weather. Well stocked kitchen with several coffee makers. Toiletries in every bathroom.

Love this properly

This house has great space and all the amenities. About 15 minutes from shoppibg and restaurants, its nestled in a quite serene spot. The wild life was moving and we enjoyed the ourdoor spaces. Very comfortable for our family of 7 with spaces for everyine!

Great property!! The property was very spacious for our family of eight to enjoy the holiday weekend. The kitchen was fully stocked and enabled us to cook our holiday feast. Excellent Cabin and Location

We had a group of five leaders meeting at the cabin for an offsite work meeting for a few days. It was even better than the pictures showed! This was an excellent facility for us - lots of room, beautiful setting - felt like it was remote, but was only 15-20 minutes from restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay there again!

Very clean, comfortable and well stocked. The view, quiet setting and wildlife made it a one of a kind stay. Even saw shooting stars at night! Loved the hot tub. Quiet neighborhood yet convenient to shopping and activities.

Amazing Setting!

Peaceful rural setting away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to be within easy reach of all Colorado Springs attractions. Amazing mountain views from the back decks, with frequent wildlife appearances.

Beautiful spacious home with amazing Mountain View!

We immensely enjoyed our stay at the Bronco house! The pictures online honestly don’t do it justice. The home is even more beautiful and spacious in person, and the Mountain View was MUCH better than I had anticipated. The home was very clean, very comfortable beds, and my children absolutely loved the secret kids nook with books and toys. The hosts were very responsive. We were definitely not ready to leave and would absolutely stay there again!
