Lobby was great. Poor was good. Seemed great when we arrived. Until we got to our room. The hallways smelled like cat pee. The room itself was dirty, carpet was ripped up by the door, our door handle was broken, and the bathroom was moldy. While I understand this property is under renovation that was not disclosed at booking. The new rooms were in 4th floor and they wouldn’t let us stay there.

The staff were extremely friendly ! No issues there. The room had a certain odor that I can’t describe. The curtains by the windows had mold on them. The bathroom was very outdated. I know they are in the process of renovating so hopefully things will be better in the future.

The staff were fantastic; helpful, charming, accommodating and proficient. I think the hotel is under a renovation June 2025. We didn’t get an updated room. The room we got did need an update, it was well used. Everything was clean though!

We decided to stop here halfway through our 12 hour drive home to visit the neighboring Congaree National Park. This hotel was one of the nicest we’ve ever stayed in. The staff were friendly, especially the lady serving breakfast, which was amazing btw! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

The rear door was unsecured. I told the front desk staff. They said they would have security address it. Nothing was done. We stayed for 3 days. And the building was unsecured. If we could have went to another hotel we would have.
