About The Cabin: Little Elbow is a beautiful two bedroom one bathroom cabin set on the shores of Elbow Lake. It has a very nice private deck that overlooks the water just feet away. The two bedrooms have one queen and two twin beds. It features a full kitchen with separate dining area. The living room is spacious with couches all around, a fireplace and breathtaking views of Elbow Lake. The kitchen comes with a stove, range, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and all of the dishware, silverware, pots, pans and utensils you'll need to make this your home during your stay. Linens and towels are also provided.

About The Resort: 83 years of history. Established in 1930 on 1,700 acre Elbow Lake in northern Minnesota. Elbow Lake Lodge has solidified its presence within the serenity of the Minnesota wilderness. Situated in Kabetogama State Park, the lodge has always been a destination for travelers and families looking to escape the lights and congestion of the metro area. Perfect for fishing, snowmobiling, kayaking and hiking, visitors come to be part of the outdoors.


Enjoy 800ft of sandy beachfront, pedal boats, paddle boards, kayaks, on-site mini-golf, playground, camp fire-pits, and a marina with fishing boat and pontoon rentals. Outdoor family fun abounds at Elbow Lake Lodge. The main lodge amenities include a bar, ice cream counter, sauna, and a recreation lounge with ping pong, foosball table, movie screen, board games and fireplace. The location was wonderful, steps from the edge of the lake. The cabin was structurally in good condition, the kitchen and bath were clean, appliances worked as expected. However, there was lots of dog hair on the couch and carpet (was able to find a vacuum to clean some of it up), a lack of bedding for the pull-out couch (was able to get a blanket from the owners), fan blades had lots of grimy dust (wiped ceiling fan down and turned others off), and rips and bleach stains on some of the towels (though they were clean). Communication was sufficient; the owners did not contact me with things like check-in information, guidelines, etc., but were always prompt to respond when I did send them a message. We had a nice time, but it just required a bit more effort than usual on our part.

Enjoyed my stay at Elbow Lake Lodge, stayed in the Little Elbow cabin. Very quiet, lots to do, if you’re so inclined. Hosts were very nice, and quite accommodating. Would come back again!

Great little spot

We spent an awesome few days at Elbow Lake. We loved being right on the lake with beach access. My boys LOVED the kayaks and paddle boat!
