Martine & Jean-François welcome you to a charming, fully renovated traditional 18th century farmhouse nestled on a south-facing hillside, with a panoramic "balcony" and "belvedere", in the heart of a small rural residential hamlet overlooking Couches, a picturesque, perfectly preserved medieval village full of charm (wine-growing and commercial), located on the route of the old Roman road Agrippa, rich in amenities and an exceptional heritage (including the sumptuous castle of the Queen of France, Marguerite de Bourgogne, dating from the 13th century). Nestled in the gentle countryside of the Côtes Chalonnaises in a protected area in ZNIEFF for its rich flora and fauna, in the hollow of a peaceful valley combining wooded meadows, bucolic vineyards, pastures and forests, the village benefits from a magnificent, preserved landscaped setting, totally peaceful. Very comfortable gîte. Ultra spacious. Warm country character enhanced by the soul of the original building (stone fireplace mantel, magnificent stone "corbel", beams, period roof framing upstairs, etc.). Large exposed gravel terrace adjoins a pleasant enclosed, sloping 300m² garden with trees (apple, peach, pear, and cherry trees, etc.) with fruit picking permitted / free "surplus" from the vegetable garden also available on occasion) complemented by a pétanque court, a swing, and an outdoor spa.
