About the home

“Hiddensee” is a family friendly 5-bedroom home in Cowes, just a short walk to the Cowes beach and Anderson Road Boat Ramp. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below.

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is the large 2nd living area (with TV & chromecast), a kitchenette (with bar fridge & microwave), a bathroom (with shower, toilet & washing machine) and bedrooms 4 & 5 (each with BIR). The clothes dryer is in a store room under the stairs which is accessed from under the carport outside. Upstairs is the open plan kitchen / dining / living room which provides access to the wrap-around semi-covered deck. The three upstairs bedrooms all have BIR and share the main bathroom (with bath, shower & toilet).

Outdoor Areas

The large double carport and driveway provide plenty of parking for 4-5 cars and/or boats. The rear enclosed yard provides a great space for children to play and there's even a large chalk board under the carport for kids to use. There is also a firepit (wood not provided) for you to enjoy.

Kitchen

The fully appointed upstairs kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, a Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge (and a 2nd bar fridge in the kitchenette downstairs), dishwasher, electric oven with gas cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home contains a split-system reverse cycle unit in the upstairs living room. There are 5 mobile heaters and 5 mobile fans for use in all of the bedrooms.

This home has 9 beds, accommodating up to 13 guests:

Linen

The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Well located property

This property needs attention, there is plenty of parking spaces, the check in process was very easy by following instructions in the email, I opened the door and the house is soooo stinky and dirty, the pillows and doonas smell so ugly, the windows are all dirty, kitchen had essential appliances for our stay. I used the vaccum that was in the built in wardrobe and it started making the worst smell that wouldn't go away no matter what, as if there is a dead rat inside it. The stick vaccum was nothing better, I used it and couldn't empty it. The shower didn't have screen on one side and all the water keeps going on the floor, the bath mat is useless there. Bugs were everywhere, even when we're sleeping, the tiny flies are all over the place. I don't think its fair that such property is being rented out in such conditions, I really didn't enjoy my stay.
