The area did not feel the safest. As for the room, it was very old, very dated and especially in the bathroom, the tub was dirty. This hotel desperately needs an update. Our room had only one bedside lamp for two queen beds. We asked the front desk if they could give us a second light. They told us there was none. But that we had a corner lamp we could use, we told her we did not have a corner lab but she doubted but when she came to check realize no there was not and cheapestly admitted it was dark in there. She then brought us a second bedside lamp which she previously had told us she did not have. There was no full length mirror in their room. On the plus side, the pool was a balmy 92° and the beds and pillows were quite comfortable.

Room was clean, bed comfortable. Had an issue with the a/c system that was quickly sorted by the lovely woman at the front desk. Breakfast was the standard fare, adequate but nothing to write home about. The location was easy to find. There are lots of fast food places within a kilometer or so, but the walking is not great--no sidewalks for most of the way. You can hear some noise from the highway but I admit it did not keep us from a good night's sleep.
