This was a nice clean room. It is an old establishment and the decor is nice. However things were rather scant. There was no toilet paper in the room. No bathmat. It was a suite with kitchenette but no silverware or dishes. Cupboards were aplenty but totally empty. There was a plastic silverware bag in one drawer but it was empty. If I stay here again I will ask for these things to be in the room. When we arrived they had gotten a foot of heavy snow the day before and I had to ask to have a path shoveled to our room.

Good value for the price of about $100 for a night. Really nicely, uniquely furnished rooms that are a pleasant change of pace from the generic room layouts you get at the chain motels.

Always Enjoy Our Stay

Our rooms decor was really cute with a deer theme. There were some issues with the heater, but the manager came immediately upon our call to fix the issue. This was our 3rd stay at the Woodsman and we loved it each time. We plan to stay there again when we come to the area.

Woodsman Lodge is a comfortable motel with warm knotty pine furnishings and has what you need for a comfortable nights sleep. Food and drink are available next door and across the street. I’ve stayed one night here twice in the past 5 weeks. VERY AFFORDABLE and cozy too.

I stayed here during a sub-assignment and it was conveniently close to where I needed to go. There isn't much in the town itself. Though the property offered menus for the surrounding restaurants.

Cute little lodge

I stayed on a clear weather winter weekend while it was around 12-15 degrees out overnight. The room was sufficiently warm, bed soft and room/bathroom clean. I brought another quilt with me from home since this was my first stay and wanted to be prepared, but I didn't need it. Would recommend and will likely stay again in the future.

The BEST choice to stay in the area, hands down! The room was gorgeous and quiet. We absolutely loved everything about our stay. And the price was so low, I thought it was a typo. It was one of the most memorable nights of our vacation, and I am SO glad we found this place. We will be back the next time we are in town!!

Unit needs a little TLC

Had trouble getting the fireplace to function on demand. It has a thermostat with schedule and could not figure out the system easily. No supplies in the mini kitchen. I had thought to include silverware and paper plates so it wasn’t too much of a problem. They supplied dish soap but no dish towels. Used supplied paper towels to help with clean up. The maintenance of the unit was lacking. It was clean but it could use some TLC to keep it looking better. Bed was ok. Needed an extra blanket, which I had brought out of personal habit. It was extremely quiet which was appreciated. The jacuzzi tub took over a half hour to fill enough to use. Clear instructions on operating the thermostat would really help. A printed channel list for tv would be appreciated. It has DISH which was great but local channels, once we finally found them, kept going out. No internet at all including the fact that my cell provider wasn’t serviced well in the area. That can’t be helped though and wasn’t the fault of the motel. Cute decorating concept just needs some love.
