The village is known for its cottage industries which include embroidery and painted Easter eggs, which visitors can try themselves. On the river, guests can enjoy many activities including kayaking, fishing and swimming from one of the pristine beaches. The surrounding White Carniola (Bela Krajina) region is known for its unspoiled countryside where you will find stunning hiking and mountain biking trails.
Crnomelj is a 10-minute drive from the apartment. This historic town provides most necessities in the local supermarkets or smaller stores. Crnomelj is also home to a fascinating medieval castle and The Church of the Holy Spirit which dates back to the 15th Century. The Crnomelj Wine Cellar is a great place to sample the finest local wines and they can even arrange group wine tastings.
Ljubljana’s international airport is just over 2 hours away. Zagreb’s Franjo Tudman Airport is closer, 1 hour and 10 minutes from the apartment.
