Convenient to the Bush Presidential Center. They very kindly shuttled me over there. Good food at the bar.

I just stayed at this property with my son. I'd give it a 2 start experience and would not recommend. I'd tell people looking that they would be happier at a Best Western or Quality Inn, or a Westin or Kimpton hotel if you wanted something more high end. Our expectations were not met at this hotel. Here's why: We booked a double room through Expedia. 1) This hotel is now called The Beeman - not Magnolia, so that is frustrating if you are unfamiliar with the area and searching for a hotel under a different name. 2) Valet only (bring cash for tips) 3) A $175 dollar a night Double room - apparently does not mean 2 beds. This is a singe room w/ full size - maybe a queen? bed (8x12 small bathroom...which shares door with closet, so only one can be closed at a time - also no bathroom fan) When realizing that the room was only meant for 1 person (only 1 bath towel provided as well) I went to the front desk to ask if there had been a mistake -and was told no mistake had been made AND because I had booked through a 3rd Party Vendor, that was a risk that I had taken as a customer. Hmm. ok. Furthermore, the bathroom had very little amenities - shampoo/conditioner in bulk in shower, and 1 small bar of soap for sink. No shower cap, cup for water, Qtip or makeup removing towelette etc. In our single occupancy room, additionally the heater/AC did not work resulting in a very uncomfortable cold room. Don't be fooled by fancy valet service and lobby with a cool/good vibe!
