Main floor equipped with a full kitchen with microwave, gas stove/oven, refrigerator, coffee pot, and fully stocked w/ pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen tools. Dining room right of kitchen as well as living space with flat screen Tv and fire stick which you can access your favorite shows. Small work desk also located in space.

Lower level hosts an additional living space and a bathroom with tub/shower.
Washer and dryer available.

**Fireplaces are not functional**

Relax on the main wrap around deck that has a lounge space as well as two hanging swings or the lower deck with bar style table overlooking the backyard and stream.

Fire pit and firewood available.
Seating will be added near fire pit before first check-in.

Gas heat for the chilly fall/winter nights and window air conditioning to stay cool on those hot summer days.

This lake house has all the amenities of home with modern and simple decor, sitting at the end of a quiet road, just a stones throw from the lake. Low traffic location perfect for peaceful strolls.

I was happy to stay for a second consecutive year at this lovely property at Harvey's Lake. This was my quiet respite from the fun and madness of my extended family "Lake Week" reunion.This lovely house felt like "home" to me when I first stayed here, and returning a year later just felt that much more welcoming. It just makes me happy to be there.The house has reliable appliances, a convenient front door lock, soft HOT water with good flow in the shower. I go in the summer, so I have the added bonus of a chorus of crickets at night. The host is very friendly and communicative, clearly interested in renters having a nice time. Also has good taste in breads and snacks. ;DHaving been here twice and visiting with locals, I now even have a few acquaintances in the neighborhood, which is VERY quiet both night and day.Just a terrific overall "feel" in this place. A favorite of mine!

From the start the front door lock was not intuitive.This particular one was difficult. Didn't feel welcoming. The house was very hot when we arrived. The AC should be noted, the upstairs bedroom doors must all remain open to get any little bit of AC available. You can't have privacy and be cool, not a great choice. We left early.

Nice Location

It was a nice little house close to Harvey’s lake, and near enough to Ricketts Glenn park. The front porch was our favorite part of the house. Everything was clean, and the host was very responsive to our messages.

Harveys Lake House

The house was well stocked and clean. Only issue was it was hard to maintain a consistent temperature between between the floors. One bedroom was very hot, and the basement was extremely cold. It could have been attributed to the chilly temps those few days.

Lovely setting and property

The property was very quaint and cozy for our group of friends gathering. Plenty of room and separate areas for sleeping worked out well. Note the coffee maker did seem to leak a bit on the first day, but not the next day. Overall, we had a great first time VRBO experience!

Absolutely lovely property for a relaxing respite

This lovely cottage at Harvey's Lake was the perfect getaway for me and my family. I arrived first on a rainy day and found the lovely wrap-around porch the perfect place to just relax and unwind. At night, I fell asleep to (only) the sounds of the rain and the cicadas. Ahh... The house is situated on a lovely property near the end of the street, where it is quiet and well-canopied. It really has an idyllic feel. The house is neat and clean, and felt really welcoming from the moment one walks in. Almost as if it's a part of one's own family legacy. All of the amenities work as they should. The hot water is hot, and the pressure is strong. Wifi was strong enough for that one video meeting that couldn't be avoided. We did not use the oven, but beyond that we used all kitchen amenities and they worked as expected. The property owner is friendly and communicative. I had a problem with the VRBO site, and we managed a very successful workaround. Very collaborative. I can't say enough about the friendly "feel" of this house. It was really striking to me. I showed the house to my brother, who was staying at another property, and I worry that I may now have to compete with him when I plan my return next year!

Everything We Needed

The Serene Home at Harvey's Lake was exactly what we needed for our family visit. In town for a family gathering at my father's house, we needed more places to sleep and I found this perfect house! Beautifully renovated and so comfortable, plus this home is close to everything. Brianne was available right away to answer the few questions I had. We will definitely rent this lovely home again if it is available!

The property is wonderfully peaceful. With its welcoming porches and private backyard, it welcomed quiet cups of coffee and peaceful mornings. The inside is exactly as it shows and is both quaint and spacious! Will definitely stay here again and recommend to family!
