Confirmed reservation twice by phone and once by email and all was good. Drove a long way for a late check in. We get there and the Night Auditor Manager is telling the family ahead of us that they do not have a room for them. They booked with Expedia also. Then, they tell me the same thing, along with the people after us. Holiday Inn basically sold our prepaid rooms to other people before we checked in. The manager was not kind about it and had no explanation about why. It took 1.5 hours for Expedia to fix this for us. We then were relocated to a lesser hotel 25 minutes away. However, this Holiday Inn is oceanfront at Daytona, so that helped make up for the 1:20am check in time. This front desk manager was extremely prompt and kind here. We were charged a service charge that I’m hoping will be returned to me. I did pay the insurance this time, thank goodness. I will start working on that claim tomorrow.
