The staff was awesome and the view from the room was amazing but beyond that I have never stayed in a room that was so filthy in my life. I grabbed the remote only to discover it covered in some sticky and disgusting crumb like crap. I had to wash it to even use it. I made the mistake of walking across the floor in my white socks and they turned black from the filth. Floors looked they hadn;t been swept or mopped in years. Never have I had to wear flip flops in a hotel room just to go to the bathroom. If I was staying in the area for more than one night I would have checked out and went somewhere else. Felt like I needed a shower after I showered. Totally filthy and disgusting.

The view from my room’s balcony was spectacular, and the lady at the front desk was nice; however, the overall experience was disappointing. The cleanliness of the room was poor—we found roaches, and the pillows had an unpleasant odor. The general condition of the room and its maintenance were below acceptable standards. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was extremely loud every time it turned on and off, which made it difficult to sleep throughout the night, especially as I am a light sleeper. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

The room had a beautiful view of the ocean! Unfortunately this is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. The room was dirty. My husband had to mop areas of the floor when we first arrived. We asked for it all to be mopped the next morning, but it never got done. The toilet leaked. We asked to have that repaired and it never got done. We killed multiple bugs over our 3 day stay. We asked for the room to be sprayed, that obviously was not done either. There was mold in the shower, the TV barely worked and the coffee in the room was disgusting. We stay in the Daytona area every year around Thanksgiving. We will definitely NOT be staying at Tropical Winds again.

Staff was amazing!!!! Hotel needs renovation. Elevator panels are cracked and beat up. There were cockroaches in our room. The sliding glass door did not lock. The phone in the room did not work. No complimentary breakfast. Wi-Fi was spotty. Clock had wrong time and couldn’t reprogram that. Bathroom was in need of reno. Needed new vanity and shower surround and shower head. Water pressure wasn’t great. Would’ve taken a very long time to wash my hair.

The shower had no pressure due to the leaks. Told the front desk, they said they would have maintenance fix it. No such luck. Also, nice size cockroaches along with very dirty windows for my ocean view.

When we arrived our room supposed to have had a sleeper sofa and a table and two chairs and it did not have either. We rented a beachfront suite. So they had one more room left on a lower level facing the parking lot that had a sleeper sofa but still no table. So it was very noisy and had to look at the cars out front. Also there was no beach access the stairs and the gate were under construction and nobody working on them the whole week. Room was really dated rust on the refrigerator we only had two forks two spoons and a broken knife. No mixing bowls I only had two utensils. Also did not have a pot for cooking. No toaster. Also we rented the room for six nights and only had two towels. They were out of pool towels. If you did go to the beach and came back up they had a water hose beside the building to clean your feet as a said before the beach access was removed. On day four we had to move to another room due to the people beside us smoking weed constantly and our air conditioner was pulling it into our room and give them all wife and asthma attack. finally the room that we got for the next two nights actually had all the amenities and was on the 4th floor which we had recommended before to be on a high level. Excessive weed smoking at the hotel forced us to use the stairs up and down as my life has chemical asthma and can't be around it. We tried to get a refund but they told us where we had rented the room through a third party their hands were tied.

I need to use my MiFi and it gets poor to no reception staying on the bottom floor. They Need to sweep off the bottom rooms patios and clean chairs. Microwave was not plugged in or near the outlet Overall was a pleasant stay
