KINGSDOWN HOLIDAY PARK -BADGERS RETREAT
(NO PETS ALLOWED)

Semi detached lodge set in a stunning location and ideal for families, although NOT SUITED FOR ANYONE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES, as it has very steep stairs.

WIFI, LINEN AND TOWELS ARE INCLUDED WITH AMPLE PARKING.
DAILY ELECTRIC CHARGE NOT INCLUDED
Badgers Retreat is set in a lovely quiet corner of the Holiday Park ideal for children to run around and play safely outside

It is a great base for families and travellers who enjoy walking, cycling, nature, history and relaxing.

Kingsdown is also within a short distance from many activities for those who love something a bit more adventurous.

My chalet has everything you need to slow down and relax from books, playing cards and board games or a large selection of DVD's.

Downstairs the lodge has a single bedroom and the shower room. There is a living area with a TV and DVD player.
This leads to an open plan fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. Off the kitchen is a dining room, with a fridge freezer and the washing machine.

The dining room leads out to a secluded garden edged with trees. It has a bistro table and 4 chairs and a washing line.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a double and a twin. The twin room has a TV for DVDs
A stair gate is provided upstairs as these lodges do have VERY STEEP STAIRS. IT IS ADVISABLE TO COME DOWN THE STAIRS BACKWARDS. There is also a bed guard available. Upstairs toilet.

To the front of the property is a new decking area with patio table and chairs, plus a bistro set. Also available are 4 sun loungers.

On the Park we have an Indoor Swimming Pool children’s play area, crazy golf, tennis courts, table tennis and volley ball. These can be booked at reception, with a small fee for equipment hire.

There is a shop attached to reception, selling a few basic items. During the summer we have a mobile van ‘BEAN’ selling drinks, pastries and snacks.

The Park prides itself on the family friendly feel and it is joyous to see children playing safely in such a wonderful location. We also have a launderette with card only payment.

If you decide to leave the park you are 5/10minutes walk from the beach and we have several very good pubs which serve excellent food. Booking is recommended as they are very popular. There are long coastal paths for walking or cycling all the way to Deal. We are also spoiled for castles as we are close to Walmer castle which has stunning gardens, Deal castle and of course just 5 miles from the splendid Dover castle.


So if you want a holiday in a safe and peaceful place, enjoy the outdoors and everything that nature can offer you then give Kingsdown a try.

Excellent hidden gem. PERFECT LOCATION!!! Feels like your outside of the UK.Lovely little accommodation, everything you need - kitchenette, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer ,2 x toilets and 1shower, cooker microwave, kettle and toaster.Beautiful scenary and lovely neighbours. Could see the sea from our decking!Site feels really secure, security on patrol, lots of families, walking distance from the car to chalet. Wonderful, local pub (The Rising Sun - book!) and the beach is a 5 min walk!Site has a swim pool, tennis court, table tennis, volley ball and mini golf with a play area and small on site shop (equipment available from reception). Must visit the amazing lady at 'The Brew Box' by reception who does tea/coffee and bacon and sausage baps along with pastries daily (am).Local super market about 4 miles away so best if you drive but again perfect location!!!!

A perfect 2 night stayGreat for walks along to Deal. Lovely local pubs and onsite facilities. The chalet felt like a much loved places with beautiful touches that made it comfortable and cosy. Everything we could have asked for - with great views of the sea. This would be our choice of place to stay again in this area.

Comfortable vacation home!

We had a very comfortable stay at Kingsdown. The house was well equipped with the basics. Finding the holiday park was difficult - we passed it a few times before a local showed us the way in! If possible drive through deal to get there instead of the narrow road through Kingsdown. Host was super responsive and helpful!

A beautiful little gem

Myself and my sister booked this chalet for a few days to bring our children to where we used to come with our nan and grandad 20 years ago. Sheila was such a lovely host, the chalet was clean and tidy and the check in process was so easy. The site was exactly how I remembered it, it's very clean and well kept with plenty to do for the kids and such a close walk to the beach. We had the most amazing time. Thank you Sheila!

Lovely stay!

Had a lovely few days at the property. The park is generally quiet anyway but this lodge backs on to the trees at the top of the end of the park, furthest away from the swimming pool, tennis courts etc but not a far walk at all as the site is quite small. Lots of open space for the children to play safely outside (and no vehicle access!). Short walk to the beach. Lodge itself was clean and well equipped with linen, towels and kitchen essentials all included (washing up liquid, soap, anti bac spray, dishwasher tabs etc). Would love to return one day!

Great little place to stay

We had a great Easter holiday at the place. The Lodge was lovely, nice and tidy and perfect for our family. The rest of the place was great, with lots of things for adults and kids to do. There's great long walks by the sea that are just down the road, as well as some good pubs with great food.

Short break with grandchildren

A slightly retro but excellent break. Thoughtfully equipped, torches and tissues, and very clean. Grandsons so enjoyed the whole stay as did we. Stairs are steep but manageable. Wifi challenging as unit needed charging which took a while but resoved eventually by techy grandchild. Pool excellent plus other facilities. May well repeat as a short break.

Perfect Holiday Cottage

The cottage is in a pretty holiday park just a few minutes walk from the beach and a couple of nice pubs. Easily accommodated our family of four with a whole bedroom to spare. The stairs are a bit tight, but manageable. A perfect launching point to explore the area or just relax by the cottage.

We stayed at Badger’s retreat for 2 nights during Feb half term. The accommodation was as described and the beds were comfortable. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool on site and also the freedom to go down to the table tennis without an adult (age 10&12) as the site felt very safe. We visited Deal & Dover castle which were both interesting. We also enjoyed a dinner at the Rising Sun. The food was excellent and the kids enjoyed the skittles. Overall a great place for families.

A truly blissful time in Badger Retreat

First of all Sheila made the experience so easy and relaxing for us. We had a fantastic time and woke to beautiful sunshine and had a lovely stroll to the beach and the white cliffs, which looked like they’d be recently painted they were shining so bright. The badger retreat is sublime and so beautiful to stay in. Big love to Sheila x
