The lunch buffet was not worth the money. I have had better food at the Golden Corral. They ran out of butter. How is that possible? The sit down menu dinner place wasn’t much better. If you want to eat, go to the ice cream shop. Good food, great portions.

There are just two options to stay within the park. The Oasis and The Inn. They are privately owned and maintained well. However, it is priced high for food, ice cream, etc. Given that there are few options within the park, you have to use this.

Grounds were well keep, costs are double for everything compared to Stovepipe wells 20 mins away. Buffet was not worth 30 dollars. Pool at night was a big makeout session, lots of couples canoodling in the pool. Facilities haven't been renovated in some time and they dont vacuum the hallways, small bits of trash. Sprinklers are aimed at walk paths, so can be unexpectedly sprayed without notice. Front Desk help was hit or miss for quality, guy in morning expected me to read his mind, didnt talk.

The location of the Ranch is excellent. Looks and feels like an oasis. Staff were friendly, the gift shop great, and the ice cream parlour was a real hidden gem. Unfortunately, the room was very dated - drab furnishings, no USBC sockets and noisy air conditioning. The lack of a lift wasn’t great. We saw a few people struggling to get their cases up the stairs. Breakfast buffet was also a real disappointment. Food was mostly tepid.

Death Valley

Not many choices around Death Valley but we were pleased with this property. Fill up your tank before you make your way to Death Valley. Gas is really expensive there.

I don’t believe the room has been cleaned. Aside from clean sheets, the bathroom was dirty - long hairs stuck to the shower wall, no body wash in the dispenser. There was no pool available (it was closed for renovation). The air conditioning unit only lowered to 74 degrees so the room was hot and stuffy. I would let choose to stay here again

100% recommend

This hotel is awesome. We decided to stay over night in Death Valley and I was skeptical because it’s listed at 2.5 stars. Everything was great. You get your own little villa, which has a washer/dryer in the unit, bedroom, bathroom, and living room. The complex is like a little town with 2 restaurants, a general store, and an ice cream parlor. There’s also a warm spring fed pool that’s open 8am-11pm. Bed was comfortable. Everything exceeded expectations.
