Beautiful setting, great restaurants, excellent location, nice people. We loved having a little patio outside our door. We were in building 800 and it was super noisy. The walls and doors are thin and we could hear every voice and alarm clock and tv. Next time I would request a move.

What a wonderful destination. Part of our family has been going to the same place for years in their motor homes. We finally got to go this time and stay at the Oasis Ranch. Unfortunately, a family emergency came up and we had to leave a day early. I sent an email regarding this. We had a lovely time and really wish we could've stayed through Sunday 11/2/25 as planned. The hotel said they'd call Hotels.com as well, as we gave a 48 hour notice and didn't hold us responsible for paying for the cancelled night.

We loved the ambience of the property and all the amenities (ice cream, Last Kind Words Saloon, 1849 Restaurant, Wild Rose Tavern, etc.) The room was clean and comfortable. I liked having a balcony. Our main reason for the stay was to golf. Sadly the course is in poor condition, but it is early in the season. The staff could not have been more friendly or more helpful.

The property is spread out with multiple buildings for the hotel and sets of suites. The grounds include outdoor museum items, walkways, and grassy areas. They were planting more trees the day we were there. There are a fair amount of amenities right on the property including a gift shop (which has groceries for day trips into Death Valley and some camping oriented food and supplies), an ice cream and burgers shop, buffet and finer dining (we used an onsite vendor for a burger cooked on an outdoor grill for our dinner and a cafe for morning coffee and bakery items for breakfast). We did not know before we made our reservation, but this facility is also a sister facility to The Inn at Death Valley, a more expensive facility, so one can use the facility at the Inn as well. It is conveniently located approx 1/2 of the distance between the northern and southern sites in the valley which makes overall touring of the valley easier. The staff were very friendly an helpful. The pool was amazing; it is 4.5 ft at one end and 8 ft at the other, very long and wide, and the water was around 80 deg (we stayed in November, so the warm water was nice for the cool night breeze).

Room was clean and the beds comfortable. Pool is amazing. Food at the Last Good Word was awful. The burger is better at Jack in the Box, and their wedge salad was pathetic. The ambiance is a Disney-like theme park prop. Overall a nice setting, but bring your own food.

Very convenient to Fibriskie Point, one of the best lookout spots in Death Valley. Nice property. Check was tedious, as there was only one person to check in about a dozen guests who were waiting around. The woman at the desk also said, "If you want a greasy meal, go to the Ice Cream shop." That's not the way I would market an amenity. We enjoyed the Last Kind Words Saloon. The food was outstanding. The pool area is very nice and clean. Overall A+ facility.

We loved our stay at The Ranch, it was heavenly. We were there for 2 nights and could have stayed for much much longer. The facilities are excellent, plenty of food options, refreshing pool, and the cottage rooms are so charming. A very relaxong place to be with breathtaking views.

The Ranch at Death Valley is a really fun place. We didn’t know what to expect, but the place has a very laid back, western vibe and is has an ice cream parlor, a saloon style restaurant, a small coffee shop and a general store with some upscale clothes and food items. The rooms are a little tired, but they are clean. The pool was a treat - spring-fed and 85 degrees. There is also an outdoor venue with music and tables that serves hamburgers for lunch. One thing that stood out was that the staff was very pleasant and friendly - no one was grumpy or annoyed at being asked questions. The employees really seemed to love working there - especially at the front desk and the restaurant. If I go again, I’d probably stay at the sister hotel, The Inn at DV, which is a little more sophisticated and geared toward couples - although it doesn’t offer as many amenties. Either one offers a pleasant stay with plenty of things to do and eat.

This property has lost its way in the world...old, without amenities, untrained staff, and poor economic policies. Expedia sells and all included package: no add ons by the facility. BUT I was charged $20/per day for something...I don't know what that something was but I certainly didn't use it and will report it to Visa when I get my monthly invoice.
