Lakefront retreat with kayaks

Lakefront 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom house in Decatur on popular all-sport Lake of the Woods. Perfect for 1 or 2 families who want to get away and enjoy lake life.

This home is located on a quiet cove with lake views and direct access to the water. There is a large yard on the lakefront with a fire pit, great for toasting marshmallows. A private dock provides access for fishing and boating. Kayaks are provided for your use, or you can bring your own boat and take full advantage of the 289 acre all-sport lake. The public boat launch is conveniently located just down the street, and there is ample room in the driveway to leave your trailer during your stay.

Inside, the house has been recently updated and provides 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and a private bathroom. The large bunkroom is perfect for kids, giving them their own space to play or watch movies when they need a break from the sun and outdoor activities. The third bedroom has a queen bed and a desk with monitors and a USB-C docking station. The rest of the house has an open layout with a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area that opens into a spacious family room with views of the yard and lake.

*Dock, kayaks, and grill are available Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

Perfect stay

We enjoyed the serenity of being at the end of a no wake lake paired with the festival we just happened upon in Paw Paw on the weekend. Our host thought of EVERYTHING we could possibly need. If it was in a drawer there was a purpose for it. Everyone had their own space to relax and beautiful areas inside and outside the home to come together. Thank you!

The best time!

We enjoyed our long weekend over the 4th of July! The fireworks over the lake were a bonus. The house was so clean, and perfect for two families with littles. Would definitely recommend!

Terrific place to stay!

Very clean and surprisingly spacious house. We loved the kayaks, and nearby restaurants. The lake is beautiful, and really fairly quiet. We'd stay again for sure!!

Relaxing weekend at the Lake

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was clean and you could tell that the owner took good care of it. Between all of the little notes and even the small things like labeling the light switches this should be an example of how a rental experience should be. The house sits in the no wake portion of the lake, and there was a pontoon party a few houses down. If water sports are your thing the bigger portion of the lake has plenty of room for activities, but the wakes can be a little rough to paddle though. the 4 Kayaks provided allowed the whole family to paddle and enjoy the water. We didn't fish, but saw many people with lines in the water and cheering when they caught something. The town on the other side had jus about everything one could need and is only a 6 min drive away! Our time here was great and having stayed here has raised the bar for what a rental should be. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Cozy lakeside house

We had a very nice stay with friends in this comfortable house. Everything was extremely clean and in great shape and the house is well stocked with everything you need. We all enjoyed the kayaks and this quiet part of the lake. Our kids enjoyed the nearby floating dock with a slide. Communication with the owner was easy and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Relaxing Retreat

We had a wonderful visit over the 4th of July. The house is so clean and was well equipped. We enjoyed being at the quiet end of the lake and took full advantage of the kayaks. The owner was amazing and responsive. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing escape, we were even treated to a gorgeous fireworks show over the lake!

This is a beautiful, and cozy home. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway in the country with a beautiful view of the lake then this is the place for you! We had no issues throughout our stay. The owner, Kara, was very sweet and welcoming! The house is welcoming to all ages but perfect if you have little ones. We hope to come back one day and enjoy this beauty once again!
