The PNW Summer You`ve Been Waiting For — Right Outside Your Door
Summer in the Mt. Baker corridor is one of the best-kept secrets in the Pacific Northwest. The snow melts to reveal alpine meadows carpeted in wildflowers, the Nooksack River runs cold and loud, and trails that were buried in January open up to some of the most spectacular scenery in the state. Baker Bliss Cabin puts you 25 minutes from the trailheads, the river, and the mountain, and a cabin that`s ready for you when you get back.
Six Reasons Baker Bliss is Your Summer Base Camp:
Epic Trails, Right Out the Door
Heliotrope Ridge, Skyline Divide, and Horseshoe Bend are all within easy reach, each one delivering sweeping views of Mt. Baker, Mt. Shuksan, and the glaciers that define this landscape. Summer is peak season for alpine wildflowers and clear summit views.
The Nooksack River
The river runs fast and scenic through the corridor all summer long. Wade in, fish, or just sit on the bank and let the sound of rushing water do its thing.
Hot Tub Under the Trees
After miles on the trail, there is nothing better. Soak under a canopy of Pacific Northwest evergreens while the evening cools around you.
Fire Pit Nights
Long summer evenings are made for a fire. Pull up a chair in the backyard, get a good flame going, and let the night stretch out.
Bring the Dogs
The yard is fully fenced, and we have dog beds, bowls, and a few toys waiting. Your pup is as welcome here as you are.
Artist Point and the Scenic Byway
On clear summer days, the drive up the Mt. Baker Scenic Byway to Artist Point is worth the trip on its own. Panoramic views of two volcanoes, wildflower meadows, and easy walks from the parking area. One of the most stunning drives in Washington State.
Inside the Cabin:
The cabin is bright, open, and built for coming back to after a big day outside. The main floor king suite has a private ensuite with a soaking tub and shower. Upstairs, two queen beds share a full bath, ideal for families or two couples. The fully stocked kitchen handles everything from post-hike tacos to slow Sunday breakfasts. Pure mountain water from the whole-home filter comes out of every tap.
A whole-home generator means weather or power fluctuations never interrupt your stay.
Around the Area:
>>Hike Heliotrope Ridge for glacier views and wildflowers, one of the best moderate hikes in Washington
>>Drive to Artist Point (typically open July through October) for short walks and panoramic mountain views
>>Watch Nooksack Falls at summer flow, a short detour that`s always worth it

Neighborhood Highlights:
Baker Bliss sits in the heart of the Mt. Baker corridor, with the town of Glacier serving as your gateway to the mountains, the river, and the trails. Here`s what`s in the area:
Mt. Baker Ski Area and Trails
The mountain is the main draw year-round. In summer, the ski area gives way to hiking, sightseeing, and some of the best alpine scenery in the state. Heliotrope Ridge and Skyline Divide are two of the standout trails in the corridor, both offering views of glaciers, wildflowers, and the twin peaks of Baker and Shuksan.
Nooksack Falls
A short drive from the cabin and a place most guests end up visiting more than once. The falls run strong through summer and the viewpoint puts you right on top of them. Easy walk, big payoff.
Artist Point
Typically accessible from July through October, Artist Point sits at the end of the Mt. Baker Scenic Byway and delivers some of the most photographed views in Washington. Short walks, big skies, and two volcanoes filling the horizon.
The Mt. Baker Scenic Byway
The drive itself is half the experience. The highway follows the Nooksack River through old-growth forest, past waterfalls and viewpoints, all the way up to the alpine zone. Take it slow and pull over when something catches your eye.
Glacier, WA
The small community of Glacier is your pit stop for everything you need. Wake `n Bakery is the move for coffee and pastries before a morning on the trails. Chair 9 Woodstone Pizza and Bar is the right call for a hearty meal at the end of the day.
Wildlife and the Outdoors
The forests around the cabin are home to deer, elk, and the occasional black bear. Keep your distance, never feed them, and enjoy the fact that this is still genuinely wild country.
