Disappointing lake vacation
The first thing we noticed upon arrival was all the grass was dead. So our children could not run and play in the grass. The Lookout view was gorgeous, however, the 40 stairs to get down to the water were unsafe and poorly maintained. The dock was hazardous and you had to be careful where you stepped to avoid going through the dead rot boards. The water had thousands of dead snail shells but there was sand and clear water after we raked away the shells and dead reeds. There was good fishing off the dock and we caught multiple blue gill and bass. Inside the cabin had the bare minimum of everything we needed for our stay, but if you are staying for more than 3 days you will need trash bags and dishwasher soap. There have been updates, but the house is in rough shape. The grill did not work well despite a pull gas tank. I would not recommend this cabin for small children and it is not handicap accessible.
