Had a great stay! Clean, friendly staff, close to everything i wanted to do. Maybe have a better breakfast in the morning. Not a lot of options. Move the toilet paper holder, was difficult to use.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!

We stayed at the Grand Stay Hotel in Johnston, Iowa, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected ~ especially for a brand-new property. While the hotel itself was clean, the service and management were severely lacking. There was no flat sheet on our bed, and we had to request it the next day when asking for our room to be made up. Towels were missing our first night, and despite asking again on the second and third nights to have our room cleaned, nothing was done. My husband had emailed the manager about these issues, and by chance, we bumped into him at the elevator. We explained everything again in person, and he admitted he hadn't even checked his emails yet. He assured us he would have someone clean the room ~ but once again, we returned to find it exactly as we'd left it. Brand new or not, this level of service is unacceptable. I will never stay here again.

Nice hotel but not much on service

When we had access to the room there was still a dirty towel in the bathroom from the past guests. We were NOT informed that you have to "request" to have housekeeping bring fresh towels, dump the garbage and make the bed. We were out most of our days and thought all of that would have been taken care of... There was no hand soap in the hotel and when we request some we were told they were out, you would think someone could get some generic hand soap until their order was delivered. Not impressed.

I really can't say enough about our 3 night stay at this property. The staff was wonderful - I was travel as a single mom with 3 very small children. The staff always engaged my children and often asked if we needed anything. The property is in great condition - rooms were very clean and spacious. I loved not having carpet which is hard to clean. Smart TV allowed us to have a special movie night, fridge allowed me to store food for lunches. Nice hot shower and bathtub for the kiddos. Pool and hot tub were cozy and there was always an abundance of towels. Breakfast was fine for what we needed - pastries, cereals, waffle maker, juices, eggs, biscuits and gravy, etc. Great location and there was even free live music next door one night. Grocery stores, gas stations, food and beverage options very closeby. We would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was perfect for passing through. He was very, the staff, the building was quiet, all look great for the kids. The only downside was the large hot tub wasn’t working. The breakfast was also limited in choices.
