great location great room great staff. OK breakfast. because you are here to see elephants, the views are amazing. the best hotel for that. the room and the bathroom was also practical and we were able to rest here while visiting places. Food ofcoruse is mainly local and some western. But thats because its a main attraction for local and Asian visitors. we loved our stay.

For our one-night stay in Kandy, this hotel was the perfect base, centrally located and easy to get around from. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our room was comfortable and well-appointed. We were also pleased with the variety on offer at both breakfast and dinner buffets, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of Kandy.

The room assigned to us initially was down a flight of stairs with no elevator. THe Air Conditioner did not work. As a result we had to move rooms. Overall we were happy with the stay besides a couple of set-backs.

Excellent location. Room was nice and comfortable. One issue - the wash basin in the bath room did not drain well and there was blockage. As a result there was some smell coming off the bathroom. Shower door did not close well - as a result there was water leakage

We stayed in the Riverdale Bungalow for 4 nights. This bungalow is across town from the main hotel. The bungalow was gorgeous, clean and had lots of amenities. We were just a couple using the main bedroom, but there is a second room with 2 single beds so a family could stay here. The private pool, big porch and side garden were all for our use and beautiful. The view from up there does not get any better. We visited many places in Kandy, and this one had the best view. Very peaceful to relax by the pool and watch nature go by. Delicous Breakfast was made to order every morning on the porch so we got to watch the birds and monkeys go by. Bandana the butler and the Chef made the stay perfect and personalised for us, the curry dinner was the best meal we had in Kandy.

Just an excellent, excellent stay from start to finish in this historic Colonial building. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the team really just was top notch and really cared about quality of food. The loft was a hit with the kids and the fine correction of loose tea was very much appreciated. We only stayed one night due to our itinerary, but would have loved to have stayed longer. The kids dipped their legs in the pool, but also didn't have the chance to swim due to time constraints. Will definitely be back in the future!
