Nice hotel, slow service

Lovely stay and hotel. Everyone very friendly, nice room and great gardens. The only problem was service at dinner and at the bar - it was really slow so they seemed understaffed

A great family stay

We had a fantastic stay at Wotton House. Great value for money. The food and drink was very good, beautiful grounds, beautiful building, lovely clean room that smelt great. Comfortable room with good amenities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return for a stay!

Beautiful property, so happy with my choice!

We had a great time at Wotton House. The restaurant for dinner was lovely and choices for breakfast were good, best is to avoid busy times as it takes them a bit longer to replenish the buffet. The property has been refurbished thoroughly and gives of a fresh nordic/countryside vibe, the gardens are beautiful even in winter. The rooms are spacious and bright , with good amenities. They could benefit from a chest of drawers for people staying longer. Yet again all we had was plenty and when we asked for a luggae holder, it arrived within a few minutes. The gel/shampoo/lotion etc were amazing. We enjoyed the pool and the gym, again, everyone was very friendly and respectful. It might get busy at times, but we always found a way to enjoy all of the choices on option (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and pool) The staff at reception was great from A to Z and helped me with an unexpected and stressful issue I encountered to make my way back to London. I cant thank them enough. They have been truly wonderful. We will most certainly come back.

Fabulous stay in this grand hotel

Lovely overnight stay at this fabulous hotel. We upgraded to get a room overlooking the Italian Gardens and were able to check in early, even though we arrived at 11am. The hotel is a grand building and although our room was in the newer extension, the decor in the room was in keeping with the rest of the hotel. We had a very comfortable night's sleep and enjoyed the leisure club with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room & pool. Breakfast & dinner in the restaurant was wonderful and we had a lovely walk through the countryside and stopped at the nearby pub. There are wellies available for muddy walks and the hotel is dog friendly. All in all, the best hotel we've been to and will definitely be back soon.

A great place to visit. Had a standard room that was a really good size. Carpet was a bit dirty and the radiator made a noise through most of the night. Other than this is was a perfect stay with polite and friendly staff

This hotel was gorgeous xx. I was a little disappointed with the food choices in the restaurant but overall it was good. The staff were excellent!! Room was perfect very comfortable and I had a lovely view. The pool and hot tub were very much needed.

We stayed here for two nights and had a lovely time. The property and its grounds are beautiful, the rooms large and well-appointed and the staff couldnt be more friendly. The area surrounding the property is also beautiful and there are great trail walks nearby. The only minuses for me are 1) the food at the 1817 restaurant is very underwhelming. The staff, however, (particularly Ella) are fantastic 2) the spa looks quite run down and could use a spruce up. All in all a great stay!

A beautiful English hotel.

Just the most amazing post new year, "non weekend" , weekend away with our two kids. Loved the staff, the service, the breakfast, the decor (some awesome, art deco, 1920's industrial chic in the restraunt). Had a great walk in the morning around thw grounds in our borrowed wellies and helpful laminate map. Brilliant all round.

We had a delightful stay at the hotel! The stunning historical architecture truly adds to its charm, and the breakfast provided was both fresh and enjoyable. The room was a comfortable size for our family of four. However, we did notice a couple of minor issues: there were only two towels in the bathroom, and the water pressure in the shower was a bit low. Overall, we would highly recommend this clean and cozy place for anyone looking for a pleasant getaway.

Nice hotel with lovely walks around the grounds and beyond. We stayed in a standard room, the decor and furniture was a little tired but was clean. The swimming pool was also a little tired but we enjoyed ourselves. Overall it's a lovely hotel
