Lovely hotel, but some areas including the the pool area were a little tired. Our room was awfully hot dispite no heating being on and having the window wide open in October. After speaking with staff it was a known issue with the room due to avent underneath and they took breakfast off the bill.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. We love this hotel, the food is amazing, grounds are beautiful, clean comfy rooms, and it was just what we needed for a birthday break. Love that it’s dog friendly!

Unexpectedly happy to find

Unexpected stay but very happy to have chosen this hotel. The gym/health club is a little tired and would benefit from a little renovation but it’s clear the hotel gets the love and care it needs and I’m sure the fitness club renovation will come soon.

Nice hotel. Good food in restaurant. We were in the accessible rooms on ground floor. Bathroom was nice but it was a wet room which didn’t drain properly. So entire bathroom floor was floating in water after shower. Apart from this was a nice stay.

Beautiful place. I was here for a wedding and it was a truly amazing experience. It also smelt wonderful due to many diffusers. I loved it and would happily return. Excellent breakfast too. I was in the newer part - comfortable bed lovely room though a small window. My only gripe is the room coffee. Fabulous range of quality teabags and biscuits but only sachet coffee. Strange!! Brilliant place though

Family wedding

A beautiful wedding venue and we were looked after so wonderfully. The staff were attentive at all times, nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed the use of gym and spa facilities. Breakfast in restaurant was outstanding. Overall a fabulous weekend stay. Would highly recommend.

Interior design and decorations give it an elegant vibe. Clean and well-thought-out spaces throughout the estate. The grounds were in pristine condition. I stayed in a standard double room. The room and toilet were clean. The only thing that could have helped was a few wall hooks for coats or clothes.

Very nice stay with fairly basic room but comfortable. Very hot in the room but quite cold around the restaurant/bar areas. Slow bar service due to wedding guests ordering drinks. Restaurant food was very nice and great service. Lovely grounds & weather made the weekend pleasurable.

Hotter than July!!

Despite cool conditions outside, the room (on 2nd floor) was uncomfortably hot. Opened window and fan provided no restbite so it resulted in one of the worst nights stays. Poor explanations offered so we won’t be coming back. Very disappointing..,
