Great little find with good value for money.
Hotel is old and dated but charming.
Friendly helpful staff. Decent pint.
Clean and warm and dry if you can avoid the drips from the ceiling in the bar.
Breakfast is akin to what you'd get at a Hilton on most days. Bacon had seen better days but even the coffee machine did a decent latte.
Would certainly recommend. A solid 7 out of 10 and with a bit of investment it could be an 8 or 9.
Great wee find.
So glad we stayed here instead of a beige chain at inverness airport.
Breakfast was included when I asked for gluten free cereal was told told there was none. The person I asked I understood to be in charge just walked away offering nothing else. Had to find another member of staff to see if there was G. F. bread for roast and explain I could not use the toaster if there was. If you have allergy s not the place to stay.
Overall the room was very tired, lack of attention to cleaning let it down. Stayed for a meal on one night, they were very under staffed. The staff were very friendly when you saw them. Is was fine of a long weekend and they allowed dogs to stay
The room needed updating, new carpet and the bathroom area needed some mould removal. Comfortable beds and quiet. Parking was a struggle, recommend parking on the main road. Just to note our room area building had no lifts.

despite flaws ,happy to stay again/
everything was clean . i know to expect problems in an older hotel but the bathroom especially needs repairing , very cracked basin pedestal and toilet often would not flush No tv reception but understandable given the location .
Okay , yes the floors creak and its a bit old but the management and staff are fabulous. The hotel has a very welcoming feel about it . The food and beverages were reasonable priced and the breakfast and the three dinners I had were excellent quality and very tasty. My room was very clean upon arrival , my bed sadly was very hard and uncomfortable but you don't go to such a scenic area to snooze it all away. I will definitely return.,
Bedroom desperately needed updating. Large cobwebs hung from the ceiling and the layout ensuite facilities were poor. Black damp around the shower tray and in the grouting. The queen bed had separted in the middle by morning. Dinner menu limited, food was ok.
nicely presented hotel and nice and clean everywhere.
in a building as old as this, some areas could do with a little tlc of course but overall, i really liked the character of the place and would have no trouble booking here again.
small tv in room but it had loadsa freeview channels and best of all, the internet was free and fast.

It was awesome and grest experience to stay here.
When I drove my car to the hotel with beautiful scenery on both sides, still wasn't sure I could find the hotel. Finally I've got to the destination. Surprised to see the traditional and wonderful hotel. If you trip to take public transportation, not easy to stay here. Room was very clean and quiet, but not enough warm. It was a bit cold in April in highland.
