Creek-Side Living In The Pennsylvania Elk Range

Sitting at the end of a quiet country lane, only yards from the water's edge, Camp Eagle's Nest is a peaceful haven with spectacular views of the mountains as well as the Driftwood branch of the Sinnemahoning Creek. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin can accommodate a family looking for an escape from their everyday routine, or is cozy enough for a couple seeking a romantic retreat. Outdoors enthusiasts will enjoy the close proximity of trout streams and state forest lands.

Nestled in the Pennsylvania Elk Range, Camp Eagle's Nest is a perfect location for elk watchers, anglers, hunters, bird watchers, and nature enthusiasts. Whether you are canoeing the Sinnemahoning, looking for elk sheds, watching for the frequently sighted bald eagle, golfing at the Emporium Country Club, hiking one of the many nearby trails or just breathing in the mountain air, Camp Eagle's Nest truly embodies what a "getaway" should be.

Renovated extensively, the owners wanted to make the interior of Camp Eagle's Nest is an immersion in nature as well. Using trees harvested in Pennsylvania, each room has a unique ambiance. To bring the outdoors inside, the owners carefully chose decor with rustic detail such as the stone work on the fireplace with a live edge mantel, decorative game mounts, and live edge trim throughout the cabin.

Though the feel of the cabin is rustic, guests will still have all of the modern amenities they enjoy at home such as a fully-stocked, modern kitchen, a washer and dryer, WiFi and cable television.

We would love for you to join as for your next vacation, and experience a true "getaway!"
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Conveniences include a phone, as well as a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.
Guests will find features like internet access.

The first floor has been updated however, host did not mention and we reviewed all information relating to bedrooms. NO BLANKETS OR SHEETS???? We contacted them after arriving and was informed they needed more money???. Very Confusing? They then sent someone out to give us one blanket and sheets per bed we needed. Host was rude on this issue. Also, tub drain does not work, was not able to take a bath. and we could not operate the fireplace. Was not a good trip

It was a great location! The cabin was very clean. All kitchen necessities were provided. The only comment is you need to know linens are NOT provided. They are available at an additional cost if you ask. This is the first time I’ve experienced no linens provided with VRBO .Overall it was a good experience!

The property was beautifully kept. The inside was very clean and had a cabin feel with the decor. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay... pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, garbage bags, etc...There was easy access to the water down a short hill with natural step built in. We were able to fish and let the dogs play in the water, then up to the well kept yard to let the dogs sun themselves dry.

My family loves Eagles Nest. No roller coasters, Giant Disney lines, no crowded beaches. Just my husband and I and any other family member that is available. Then it's fishing and inner tubing in the crik, play games around the large table . Every evening we look for elk, and they always show The house is clean, air conditioned, 2 baths and large bedrooms . I hope it is a family tradition that never ends.
Can you find the elk?

Quiet getaway

This place was very nice. It was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy too. There was no neighbors during our stay. Loved sitting out by the creek. We had a deer visit us, across the creek, while we were eating breakfast.

It was a nice place to stay but when we got there there were no linens iw bedding and towels were not provided. Good thing we went early and caught the cleaning person and showed them that it did not list no linens provided. The pictures even shows bedding. I tried to contact the host and they never got back to me. Another downfall is the host is not available for any issues. Nice place but listing needs to be updated if they are not providing linens.

Beautiful waterfront home

We were in Sterling Run to say goodbye to a dear friend who loved the mountains and hunting there. The home is beautiful and in excellent condition and not far from the town of Emporium for suoermarket, etc.

The view was beautiful and the accommodations were good. I would recommend updating the cookware. I had a hard time finding a pan or baking sheet that wasn’t rusty. It was pretty gross. The pans were all peeling there no stick finish baking dish was rusty

Easter Weekend 2025

We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary away from the city, and this was the perfect place to relax. Waking up in the morning to that breathtaking view of the mountains and the river is incredible. The town is generally very peaceful, and the people are super friendly. There's plenty of sightseeing and various activities to do nearby; you just have to drive a little. We're thinking of returning during the summer because we fell in love with the place.Thank you.Geoff & Gaby

Excellent location, nice house

This house is in a terrific location and is very clean. Beds were comfortable. Roomy and spacious. On top of the regular price, we paid a pet fee, an optional linen fee and a "service fee." We also had directions to leave the place how we found it, even to drive the garbage to a nearby dumpster off the property. I am okay with this policy, but not if they are also going to charge a "service fee." That is my only complaint. And the lock was hard to open, but they did warn us about that. Otherwise, it was excellent, nice, gorgeous.
