Lovely room. Our only problem with this property was that there is no elevator. We were on the 4th floor.

Located in old town Dubrovnik, the hotel is within walking distance to all the sights. The staff was very helpful. They helped us with providing directions to sights, kept our luggage with them when we went away for a couple of days to other towns, and carried our luggage up to our room (one to the 4th floor and then the 1st floor (on our second visit) - as there is no elevator available (as it is a heritage property and structural changes are not allowed). The breakfast was excellent and arrived at the time we had requested to our room (the hotel does not have a dine-in place). We felt the hotel was expensive, but that may be a small price to pay for the location it is at.

Great location & overall quality. Important to mention guests that due to the historic nature of the venue, there are relevant limitations in accessibility, and the need to use stairs to access all rooms. Worth mentioning great and timely breakfast- in room.

Nice location in old town. Keep in mind to bring your own toiletries! They are right across the street from a loud pub that has strong music playing and loud crowds until 1 or 2am so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Also no stairs. It's nice there's a full kitchen and a couch area.

I only stayed one night but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. A charming little boutique hotel, right in the heart of old town Dubrovnik. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and had nice modern conveniences, including the beautiful bathroom! And best of all, they delivered a beautiful breakfast tray at my desired time!

The low floor we were on was very noisy since the hotel is next to a pub that stays open until 2am or 4 am depending on the day. Recommend requesting a higher level floor if you want to get any sleep.

Great location but a few comments

Short two days stop with my parents. Location is perfect. Our room was on the top floor, and very comfortable (light, space). My parents' room on the second floor was smaller and very dark, but yeah... this is a room on the second floor in a building located in the middle of the old city! So... Normal. Just be aware that the light you see on the pictures of the rooms on the web (as well as the size of the room or the design of the walls for instance ).. is not what you may get. We had no balcony or brick walls... so obviously the pics may not show what you will get. If you are travelling with people with mobility difficulties... make sure you get a room in a lower floor... no elevator and it's pretty intense stairs. Last thing... it was a honey moon trip for my parents, I had written to the hotel to let them know. While other hotels in Croatia let them a message and even a gift, my message was just ignored. BUT: the hotel is great, and staff friendly. So go ;-)

While the room was clean and check in easy, the front desk informed me there was no breakfast when I purchased the package with breakfast inclusive. The hotel was noisy and we were woken up several times in middle of night. So loud…Sounded like a break in The shower water was tepid at best and turned cold within a minute of using.

Cute stay in the city walls of old Dubrovnik Be aware there are many steps to access. The bed was comfy, accommodation was clean and quiet and had what we needed for a couple of nights stay

A nice place to stay. The property is modern, clean and perfect for a couple of days away. It would benefit from a handy man to do a couple of simple jobs, such as tighten taps, screw table top to base, tighten shelf fixing, secure door handle into bathroom, fix dangerous electric socket next to shelf. Courteous welcome and daily service of room.

Pro: Perfect location❤️ Communication with the property was great! The Scalini Palace is quaint and beautiful. Small kitchenette was well stocked. Cons: I thought I reserved a room with a balcony and it was only a Juliet balcony, maybe my mistake and I thought breakfast was included, didn’t realize that I had to make it myself 😂All in all I would stay there again when we come back❤️

Old town stay

Sold 4* option in the old city just off the main street with character. Nicely appointed room with a kitchenette. Only negative was a slight odor in the room which they tried to cover up with cleaning aromas. Not horrible - just slightly unpleasant. Wouldn’t cause me to stay elsewhere. Short walk to 2 main gates to the old city which is flat. But the hotel does not have an elevator so stairs are required inside.

Cute little hotel.

Small quaint hotel right in the middle of Old Town Dubrovnik. Clean. Very small balcony but too hot to even have the door open. Had one torrential rainstorm for almost 12 hours and the roof then leaked. No damage done but it could have had we had our suitcase in the water drop area cause it stained the white towels from the varnish on the wood beams. Hopefully they have fixed the problem.

OK Stay in Dubrovnik

Scalini Palace was mediocre. The best quality about this property was that is a 10 second walk to Stradun which is where many of the sights in the Old Town Dubrovnik are located. They also deliver breakfast to your room every morning to start your day. The down sides…the room was smaller than anticipated but included a kitchenette, the noise from outside was exceptionally loud on the weekend, towels were rough and tired, and frequently ran out of hot water. Overall the property is OK and I’d stay again to be in that perfect location. A small tip is that cars can’t drive to property so to avoid carrying luggage up and down many stairs, ask your taxi/Uber to drop you off at Pile Gate to avoid all stairs.

Delightful Dubrovnik Sensational Scalini

Alen at reception was fabulous. Checked pur arrival time ; was there to meet us at the front door. Hrlped eith bags up to room & explained breakfast. Breakfast delivery EXACTLY st 8am - superb & very tasty and clearly cooked a few minutes earlier. Location of hotel was unbeatable and such good value for money. Outdsde noise from bustling historic side walkway below easily muffled out by closing the very effective founle glazed window, but leaving open was delightful listening to other people enjying life.
