Given a room which I didn’t think I asked for so either hotel or Expedia mislead me . Hotel rectified it for me We went down for breakfast at 9am and the full English was dry as though it had been previously cooked and left to warm and dried out. I could not cut my black pudding or the hash brown as they were too hard

I arrived late, so I waited awhile to be checked in and called the phone but there was no answer, the lady that checked me in was kind. The room was absolutely filthy, hair on the toilet, floor, bath, sink, snotty bloody dried tissue next to the toilet, the room hadn’t been hoovered and there were marks all over the floor and walls also the tv did not work, re-signalled it twice then just gave up and watched my laptop as it was late. Felt the restaurant was over-priced, for my chicken and bacon tagliatelle anyway as the sauce was just liquid. But again; the staff were very polite and the grounds looked nice from what I could see in the dark.

The room was clean and well decorated. There was no air conditioning but there was a radiator with adjustable valve which was great for the evening when the temperature dropped. We attended a Soul and Motown event in Rick's Bar. The 3 course meal was nice, but we were a bit disappointed with rhe music as it wasn't what we expected. The breakfast on the following morning was excellent and the staff were very attentive.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!

No Ac in room as I could see, very hot room and bed very uncomfortable. Room very dated and worn. Carpet leading into the bathroom was a trip hazard and threaded. The dial to put on the shower was black as was the front of the bath. Overall the place needs a lot of updating and cleaning. The noise in my bedroom was constant, all night, boiler? I did not get any sleep. I went down to the spa, the shower area was disgraceful to say the least, black mould and dirty. Even the toilets downstairs, tiles missing. The lady who served us breakfast was not at all friendly, in fact she was abrupt and not suited to customer facing work I feel. Breakfast, mainly cold as was left in containers until 9.30 and not worth 16.00 of anyones money. Not a great stay sadly and not cheap, especially the drinks, 11.60 for a double vodka and tonic. Check out very slow too. Sorry but this really needs to be addressed as it is a lovely building, so sad to set it let go like this.

Lovely venue

The venue was lovely with lots of character. The wedding we attended was fab. The only disappointment was the breakfast it was a small room and there was no choice. It was English breakfast or nothing!

Clean but a little tired and dated

Clean enough room but it does feel tired and dated. Shower head was blocked and turned the bathroom into a wet room! Lovely staff though and restaurant food was good.

Disappointing

This hotel is run down & due for upgrades. Before arriving at the hotel we contacted them to request a cot in our room. This was not there when we arrived & we had to wait an hour in the room with a screaming / tired baby. Everything in general is tired & run down. The corridors leading to everywhere are poorly signed so you have no idea where you are going. The walls are painted half yellow, meant to look old?! But just looks like a bad paint job. There was a strong smell of weed in the corridor by our room and the loft hatch was left open propped up by a broom during our stay outside our room?! The carpets in our room were sticky & stained. Hot with poor ventilation the room. We were excited to use the pool but put off by the bad layout and small dirty changing rooms with no private areas. The breakfast layout was confusing and the staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing, no atmosphere in the dining area more like a wake. We only had one drink, but it was grossly overprice. Luckily we used our Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay for the majority of this stay otherwise we would’ve been writing a letter complaining to the manager. The fact that it was a bank holiday weekend and no weddings were being held here I think says everything.

Average at best. Told there was nowhere to walk or dog. The hotel is on the Coventry way. Reception not engaging or asking about guests or arrival or leaving. Room needs refurbishment Food in bar was very basic and not at all interesting to see or eat. Would not return.

Wedding at Nailcote Hall

Had a great stay. Beautiful grounds, decent rooms and facilities. The only thing that could be improved is access for people with mobility issues. The doors are awkward to get through for wheelchair users. Otherwise enjoyed our stay. The lady at reception was friendl, welcoming and professional.

Large room with lovely views. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. Easy access via car to University of Warwick. Difficult to access the hotel when an event is happening, due to the small country road and number of cars arriving at the same time. Some areas, especially in the leisure centre look a bit tired.
