Artist house with fantastic sea views in an absolutely quiet location on Sheeps Head on the Wild Atlantic Way, ideal for exploring West Cork and the Irish southwest coast.

The country house is located about 3 km outside of Durrus on a large property with its own driveway.
It has 3 bedrooms, one on the ground floor with a large double bed and a shower. Upstairs there are two ensuite bedrooms, one with 2 double beds and a bathroom with tub, and a bedroom with 1 double bed, 1 single bed and a baby bed, and a bathroom with shower.
From almost all rooms and from the terrace you have a beautiful view of the sea, the mountains from Sheeps Head and across Dunmanus Bay to Mizen Head.
Make yourself comfortable in this vacation home, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, a stovetop, and a microwave. We spent two nights in this wonderful house. It was clean and spacious and we had cosy nights by the fire. The location on the Sheep's Head is spectacular. The magical light and morning Winter sun was breath-taking. I ate breakfast outside accompanied by a lovely robin. Taschi was a very warm and welcoming host.

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful, quiet location. We were able to take a long hike around sheep’s head peninsula just by walking to the end of the driveway. We had a great time here!

Somewhat disappointing

Good location, excellent view. Had to ask for pillow, blankets and sheets. Only 1 towel per person. Had to ask for paper towels and toilet paper. They advertised a washer and dryer but we did not have access to it. They would take our laundry and return it the next day.

Remote Retreat with family

We had a very pleasant stay at Taschi‘s House. From here, we explored Sheep‘s Head, Mizen Head and Bantry. Taschi was very welcoming and helpful. She and a friendly neighbor even pulled our car out of a ditch.

Fabulous Sheep's Head peninsula stay!!

Absolutely gorgeous house in a stunning location. The house is like new, beautifully furnished with both modern furniture and some of the owner's antique Bavarian furniture! Lots of light, stunning views towards the west and out to sea, located down a botharin (small rural lane with grass down the middle for those who are not aquatinted with the term as Gaeilge!) off a botharin on the road to from Durrus to Ahakista, so... ideal for R'n'R, rural strolls and listening to local animal life as well as beautiful sunny sea views from the back terrace!! Every you need is there (down to a drinking bowl for the dog!); no washing machine but we didn't need one. Easy access to everywhere and daytime walking to Durrus and Ahakista absolutely do-able. Super house, stunning location! I very much hope to be back and would recommend without hesitation! Thanks for all Taschi!

Clean house, everything you needed was available. Access easy and comfortable. Extremely quiet and beautiful nature around, very peaceful, fantastic view onto the Atlantic. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Food shopping in 15 minutes driving distance, good restaurants nearby. Worth a detour was Dede restaurant in Baltimore.

Beautiful Spot

The house is amazing and the view from the terrace is simply stunning. The house has place to spare for a family of 4. Bantry - for all amenities and great food - is 15min by car. Durrus (with a few nice pubs and a village grocer) a good 5 minutes. Sheep‘s Head is a gorgeous and not too straining walk with Beara and Mizen Head also within reach for a day trip. Very highly recommended!
