I was told I had reserved for two rooms, although my reservation said for one room only. The remote for the TV was old and for seemed to be for elderly people. I had someone knock at my door persistently for 3 minutes at midnight, that did not make me feel like the building was safe.

Rooms are dated. Smelled of stale cigarette smoke, likely not from a recent guest but rather soaked into the walls and furnishings from previous decades. Otherwise fine. Surely there already is a plan to renovate the rooms over the following years.

Stay was good. The gentleman in the front counter extended extra help when we requested a microwave and a fridge. He was very helpful and courteous. We weren't able to get his name to thank him. The view was perfect.

We booked at the Château Lacombe because we were travelling with the pet. When you put the pet friendly search feature into Expedia, it gives you a choice of rooms. We chose a junior suite as it was an option that was available. We decided to extend our stay, and when we went down to extend the room, we were confronted by a manager, who informed us that we couldn’t have our dog in that room. As a result, they moved us to a smaller room that lacked all the basic amenities of the 21st-century. If you have electronics are require electricity you won’t get it. The service overall was poor and the managers attitude was rude at best.
