Our stay was such a pleasant surprise. We arrived in the area and looked for hotels, very limited options available amd spent one night at a hotel and and opted to book this VRBO type property instead. To our pleasant surprise, we were met by our hosts early in the morning as soon as we messaged them asking about check in instructions: Hicham and his brother drove us to the farm. In a few minutes, they set up a delicious breakfast for us served by the wood oven, and made us feel immediately at home. When you stay here, you partake in an immersive experience with a very kind and hospitable Moroccan family. They prepared for us breakfast, Moroccan tea, lunch and dinner every day. The food was absolutely spectacular, better than the food we ate at five star hotels in the larger cities of Morocco. They had fresh honey, butter from their cow, fresh milk and buttermilk daily, along with home-made bread. The tajins and couscous were spectacular. While the home is very basic - it is filled with love and hospitality, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the farm. The family is happy to show you around the farm, how to make the break and you can even help with harvest - it was olive harvest time when we visited. It is also a short stroll down to the Ziz river. Surrounded by spectacular mountains, river, and a short drive to the town of Er-Rich with its weekly Monday market, this is definitely a must-stay if you are looking to truly experience the Moroccan farm life.
