Almost Perfect

Some of the exterior need a little maintenance but it is very clean and comfortable inside. The food was excellent with typical teutonic fare, including Wednesday's Schnitzel Night. Very enjoyable.

Peaceful alternative to city centre hotels.

Characterful traditional hotel in quiet residential part of town. Easy connections to autobahn for Essen, DUS and Duisburg. Good wholesome local style food in restaurant. Nice beer. Squirrels in garden. Some interesting cars parked around the grounds.

Wonderful and peaceful family run hotel

An awesome, family owned cottage style hotel. The neighborhood was peaceful and gorgeous with lots of flowers everywhere. The restaurant and biergarten we're great with delicious local German cuisine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'll stay here again when I come back.
