Blue Mountain Lake Lodge and Lake House Fairlie
The Lodge and Lake House is designed for groups of up to 15 people. Blue Mountain Lodge is a brand-new, beautifully crafted retreat nestled among mature oregon and blue spruce trees. It sleeps five and features a large, fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a master bedroom with a queen bed, and a second bedroom with a queen and single. With a cosy fireplace, WiFi, TV, plush linens, and an outdoor BBQ, you’ll find everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Just steps away, the Lake House brings rustic charm to the lakeside setting. Originally built in the 1960s and freshly renovated, it sleeps up to ten guests. It features a master bedroom with lake views, a second queen room, and a bunk room with six single beds. Outside, you’ll find a bar area, huge fire pit, and BBQs—perfect for evenings under the stars. Both homes share access to two brand-new bathrooms just off the Lodge’s patio. With four toilets, two showers, and plenty of storage, there’s ample room for everyone.
Fed by the Orari River, the lake’s fresh, crystal-clear waters are ideal for swimming, water skiing, canoeing, and boating. At 400 metres long and up to 170 metres wide, with depths from 1.5 to 3 metres, it’s perfectly suited for everything from paddleboarding to jet boating. Canoes and paddles are supplied for your use, and the lake suits jet boats and outboards thanks to its generous depth.
A small river crossing leads to this hideaway, which also boasts access to over 200km of private tracks across 9,500 hectares of stunning high-country terrain.
To access Blue Mountain Lake, guests will need to drive through a shallow river crossing. A 4x4 or all-wheel drive vehicle is required for this. On arrival, our experienced host will be there to assist with the crossing. If your vehicle isn’t suitable, our host can transport you across in a 4x4. The river crossing is located just 200 metres from the Lodge, making it a short and straightforward trip from the road to the accommodation. The hosts will arrange a time for you to meet at the river prior to your arrival.By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for crossing the river. You confirm that you are confident in your ability to do so safely and without assistance, and that your vehicle is appropriate and equipped for river crossings. All children must be supervised at all times, particularly around any bodies of water. Swimming in rivers is strictly prohibited. Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.
