Chelidoni which means swallow symbolizes the beginning of spring. The house was named after this popular bird because there were four old swallow nests when it was first bought and renovated in 2002. It is a stone house in the quiet, traditional village Sivas in southern Heraklion Crete. It consists of two apartments of 70m² each (Chelidoni I and Chelidoni II) and you can rent the whole house (ideal for more than 4 and up to 9 people) or separately one of its two apartments (ideal for 4 people each). The interior court is in common for Chelidoni I and Chelidoni II, where you can enjoy privacy as it is surrounded by a stone wall and you cannot be seen from outside. There you can find a lot of flowers and greenery, a lemon tree and a pomegranate tree from which you are welcome to collect their fruits! The house was originally built in 1936 and was renovated in 2002. In 2010 it was bought by Anastasiadis family and until 2015 the wooden pergolas and the wooden balconies were replaced by new ones, extended ceiling restoration was made and the plaster was removed from the exterior so as to reveal its exquisite stone walls and highlight the architectural identity of the house. Wi-fi network was established also. In case you wish to spend your holidays in Chelidoni during Autumn, Winter or Spring, it is important for you to know that there is a central heating system. Sivas village has some nice taverns, where you can enjoy local food, two mini-markets, some traditional cafes and a butcher's. For your transportation to the nearby beaches (10-minute drive) and villages you are going to need a car. The closest main town is approximately a 20 minute drive, where you can find bigger super markets, banks, a post office, access to public and private healthcare and pharmacies.

Tolles Haus in einem ursrünglichen Dorf

Außerordentlich geschmackvoll renoviertes, gestaltetes und eingerichtetes Natursteinhaus. 2 schöne Terrassen und ein Innenhof, wo alle an einem Tisch im Schatten sitzen können. Der Innenhof ist abgeschlossen und uneinsehbar. Die zwei Hälften sind ideal für Familien mit Großeltern. Die Kücheneinrichtung ist komplett. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Dies gilt auch für Sivas, wenn man dem großen Touristenrummel entkommen möchte, aber trotzdem einen belebten Dorfplatz mit mehreren guten Tavernen in wunderschöner Landschaft schätzt.
