We stayed here for 2 nights to attend a Family function in the area. We were delighted with our choice and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this hotel.
Second time stay at this lovely hotel which is adjacent to Norwich Cathedral.
Great breakfast, pricey evening meals mitigated by two restaurants less than 3 minutes walk away.
Lots of stairs to contend with, visitors should be warned.
I of the two single rooms, 3rd floor was small and not as good as I would have expected. The 2nd floor single for the same price was much better appointed, hence the loss of one star
The room was excellent, spacious, luxurious, clean.
I had limited contact with the staff but they were helpful and polite. Whilst I realise it's a listed building the outside looks a little tired. Location is very good.
You cannot go round with the Maids Head when visiting Norwich. Brilliant location, great staff, convenient parking and loads of history. A+++++++++++++
The hotel was totally unique.
Our room was excellent with all the mod cons one would expect to see in a hotel room.
The communal areas were very inviting. The breakfast was very good offering a bit of everything.
All the staff we had dealings with were very helpful and pleasant.
The hotel is situated in a prime position right by the cathedral. The castle, museum, shopping and restaurants and bars are all within walking distance.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Fantastic experience at the Maid's Head Hotel. We arrived at 1pm to drop off a bag and the receptionist allowed us to check in early and showed us to the room. The room was beautiful, filled with beams and a view of the cathedral. Drink at the bar was very nice. Buffet breakfast was the best we have had, local produce and cooked very well. Service throughout our stay was superb
We’ve stayed at the Maids Head several times. It’s a great hotel, clean and comfortable.
Breakfast is always great - lots of gluten free options. Gluten free toast is always provided. Choice of GF cereals, cooked breakfast was all clearly marked and our server was aware of which items were gf.
Room was lovely and clean.
There was a wedding there on our last stay, and the bar ran out of wine and the barman was not having a great time - he was clearly under pressure and not in the best mood.
It didn’t spoil our stay.
I was thoroughly enchanted by this hotel, old in history, but modern staff and service. The friendliness of the staff was truly appreciated. The opportunity to rest and socialize in a building of such historical warmth was truly a pleasure.

Fifth stay at the Maids Head and enjoyed every one. Rooms charming and comfortable, staff very friendly and extremely helpful. If staying in Norwich would never consider anywhere else.
Absolutely amazing hotel. From arrival to departure the experience is exceptional. Such a relaxing time spent over a couple of days. Staff are friendly, professional and efficient without being intrusive. Rooms, food and service impeccable. The courtesy tour in a Bentley is an added bonus. There is a selection of comfortable areas to relax within the hotel community areas as well as a charming little pub worth a visit within the site.
