Worst stay I've ever encountered unfortunately bed coverings were all black mold blocked drains in bathroom and black mold all over ceiling breakfast was stale and in my wife's orange juice laid a couple of flies that were from the Despenseries

Only 1 bar tender so always a que. Hardly seen any sraff. Only 1 on reception so que their aswell. Lift very small only 2 people and cases. Dogs allover hotel except inside dining area. Looks as if hotel has been done up on the cheap. Paint colours in corridors does not match theme of hotel. Rooms have modern cheap furniture again not in style with hotel. Nice grounds and views.

The hotel itself was lovely however staff could have a nicer disposition. There is no room service despite being advertised on the website. Price that was paid was very reasonable however parking charges were unreasonable as there is ample parking.

The only problem is that the rooms are not very sound proof. So I had to sleep with ear plugs as one of my neighbouring rooms had loud conversations the entire evening

The staff were really lovely and helpful. The room needed a bit of TLC, especially the bathroom. The grouting needed renewing at points. This was our fourth time of staying here, as we have medical appointments at the hospital. We stay for 2 nights each time. However we were exceedingly dismayed to find that this time, we had to pay for parking! This hotel is on the outskirts of Dundee. There are no bus stops, or other parking nearby. We pay for our hotel room, we spend money on food and drink, I feel that being charged for parking is unacceptable and sheer greed. The other issue, is that it is payable only by an App. There are so many horror stories these days, about these parking Apps and scams, that as older people, we will not use them. If that means that we will have to find other accommodation next time we have treatment, then so be it. They have just lost a customer.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the dining room was good. The waitresses were very nice. The carpet was dirty. The shower had mold in it. The room was very hot. The entire place smelled like chlorine. There is an indoor pool. That’s a nice amenity if you want to swim.

Not sure if it was the hotels fault or Whose fault it was but my sister had booked to stay here with us at the same hotel. Her booking had been cancelled due to overbooking but no one had informed them…they booked in April and prepaid then. There was no managers on to help the receptionist deal with the complaint. They offered no resolution. Thankfully when we arrived our room we were able to get a family room (albeit a double with a sofa bed) they then were able to add a Z bed in.

Room was in very poor condition, carpet was stained and bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows were flat and there was mildew in the bathroom. The pool and sauna were overcrowded as it is a public club.

When checking in, the receptionist noticed there were 3 of us and I had to confirm we had a triple room booked. He said the booking platform had not provided them with the correct information. This is clearly an issue which needs rectified for future guests. An extra bed had to be brought to the room. It was brought into the room carried by the porter in one hand - it was so light because it was a camp bed and the mattress was so thin. This hotel should not be advertising triple rooms if they cannot provide proper beds for 3 people in a room. We were told to scan to pay for car parking yet our friend was asked for her car registration - a very inconsistent service! The shower in our room did not change temperature and was so scolding that we could not use it on our first morning. We were told it could not be fixed as the maintenance man worked Monday - Friday. Eventually, after asking twice, someone came to look at the shower and fix it. The first receptionist we spoke to did not do anything to help but thankfully the receptionist in the evening took the time to look at it. Also, on arrival, we were given half a toilet roll and had to ask for more. We only had 2 towels and asked for a 3rd. The 3rd was taken away by housekeeping and we had to ask for another towel once again on the second evening. This may sound like we were being fussy but it was really just a bit of a hassle and not a comfortable stay.

Friendly Staff, Comfortable Stay

Although Reception was very busy when we arrived, we were greeted cheerfully. Check-in was very smooth. Our room was clean and well-presented. The ensuite bathroom was compact, with no shelf for personal toiletries. The restaurant & bar staff were very friendly, and very helpful when helping us with menu choices. Overall, we had a comfortable stay.
