Hideaway Cabin
Hideaway Cabin is a rare retreat where rustic charm meets standout amenities, tucked into a peaceful wooded setting just minutes from Michigan's most beloved lakeshore towns. Surrounded by nature and set well back from the road, this classic log cabin offers the feeling of total seclusion while Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville, and South Haven are all a short drive away.
The true centerpiece of the home is the private indoor pool—warm, inviting, and available year-round. Spend winter afternoons swimming while snow falls outside, or let the kids burn off energy no matter the weather. With comfortable seating nearby, this space naturally becomes a gathering spot in every season and makes Hideaway Cabin a destination all its own.
Inside, soaring two-story ceilings, exposed wood beams, and a gas fireplace create a cozy yet spacious great room that invites everyone to relax together. The open layout connects the living area, dining space, and fully equipped kitchen, making it easy to cook, play games, and share time without feeling crowded. Large windows bring in natural light and woodland views, reinforcing the cabin's peaceful setting.
The home offers generous sleeping and bathroom space across multiple levels. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms are located on the main floor, including a serene primary suite with a private balcony overlooking the trees, a jetted tub, and a walk-in shower. Upstairs, additional bedrooms, a loft with a sofa sleeper, and another full bathroom provide flexible space for families or groups who want room to spread out.
Outdoor living is just as inviting. The expansive deck is perfect for morning coffee, evening dinners, or quiet moments surrounded by nature. Fire up the grill for a laid-back cookout, gather around the fire pit after dark for stories and s'mores, or enjoy lawn games under the open sky. Wildlife sightings and starry nights are part of the experience here.
Located near orchards, wineries, breweries, antique shops, and scenic back roads, Hideaway Cabin is especially magical in the fall, when harvest season is in full swing. Lake Michigan beaches, art galleries, dining, and shopping are all close enough for easy day trips, yet far enough away that returning to the cabin feels like a true escape.
With its indoor pool, spacious layout, cozy cabin character, and peaceful setting, Hideaway Cabin is ideal for family gatherings, multi-generational trips, or anyone looking to unplug and reconnect—any time of year.
Please Note
- Use of the swimming pool is at your own risk. The cover must be on at all times when the pool is not in use. A $350 fee will apply if the pool cover key goes missing.
- High-speed and phone line internet are not available in this area. Wireless internet is available via a Jetpack hotspot. This means only a few people can be connected at a time, and only 1 TV can be used for streaming at a time. We would love to provide high-speed internet for our guests, but it's not yet available in our area.
- This home is nestled in a beautiful natural setting where wildlife and insects are part of the charm. Routine pest control services are in place to ensure the comfort of our guests, but on occasion, a curious critter may make its way inside, especially if doors are left open. If you notice any evidence of pests indoors, please notify our office promptly so we can address the situation.
- Exploring the adjacent woods may look fun, but this area is filled with poison ivy. Please stick to the areas of the lawn that have been mowed for your enjoyment.
- Use of the bicycles is at your own risk. We do not guarantee the upkeep or service of the bicycles. If you use any of the recreational items in the garage, please put them back where you found them before your departure.
- The loft area, which includes a queen sofa sleeper, does not have window coverings.
- While this is a secluded, country location, the driveway is shared and you can see 1 neighboring house from the property.
- The pond is private and is not available for swimming or fishing.
- Well Water: The home uses well water filtered through a reverse osmosis system. Though the water is safe to drink, those who are accustomed to city water may wish to bring bottled water for drinking. The naturally high mineral content in the area can sometimes leave an orange tint on white surfaces, including tubs, toilets, and linens washed at the home. This is normal and not harmful.
