'The apartment is located in Porta al Prato area, just 10 minutes on foot from the train station of Firenze Santa Maria Novella. Just close is the Leopolda, a place for exhibitions and cultural events, the great Parco delle Cascine where you can enjoy long walks or hire a bicycle, and the Teatro Comunale, home of the great symphony orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
The apartment consists of a large studio fully renovated and well shared with kitchen and separate sleeping area. Living area with sofa and TV. Balcony with laundry area in part.
The apartment is very quiet because it doesn't overlooks the main street.

Cleaning care has always been a very important aspect for us. Now, in addition to using specific products for chlorine-based disinfection, we perform a complete sanitization of the environment with an Ozone device.

Marco and Patrizia’s place shone with pride of ownership. The accommodation was clean with everything we needed, a 10 minute walk from the train station, and a 20 minute walk to the center of town (or a quick taxi ride). The cafe on the corner has the best cornetto and espresso! Excellent value for the price!

Beautiful apartment close to the river

The apartment is beautiful and has all the amenities needed. It was very clean and had plenty of storage space for clothing/luggage. The air conditioning was a life saver when we stayed in early August! The hosts were so pleasant and made the check in process super easy even though we did not speak any Italian. It is a bit of a commute to get to all of the tourist attractions in Firenze. I think it took us about 20-25 minutes walking. There is a tram line that runs close by that will take you closer but there is still a walk from there. But with all the old buildings and walking along the river it didn't feel very long. We arrived at the Santa Maria Novella train station and the tram will take you within a 2 mins walk away from the apartment. Overall, we had an amazing time staying at the apartment and would definitely recommend it to anyone as long as you don't mind a bit of a commute to the tourist attractions.

Great city apartment---close to everything!

This cute city apartment is close to many small and large bus and trams lines. Be sure to get your tickets at the tram waiting area 20meters south of Porta al Prato and the small vending machine. (1.50 euro, good for transfers within 90 minutes) The cute small buses don't have ticket sales, and these busses are the best for weaving around the narrow streets. Any time day or night it was easy to find a bus back to the apartment. And the bar/bakery on the corner is open 24 hours! The apartment is secure, clean and the bathroom nicely modern. Good location for historic sights

Ideal for our needs, with any easy walk into the areas of interest. We arranged with Marco to meet at the San Jacapino tram stop, a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. (We had left our car at the Villa Costanza car park on the Autoroute for €7 per day. The tram fare was €3 per person return.) The apartment was really ideal for us. The sleeping area could be curtained off from the living/dining area. The kitchen was just right and well provided with crockery, utensils and wine glasses!! We sat on the balcony at the rear of the apartment in the evenings after seemingly walking the whole of the city. We would certainly stay here again if we came back to the city. Marco was a good communicator which made our stay very enjoyable.

Base for Exploring Firenze

I spent 6 nights at Marco and Patrizia's San Jacopino apartmemt. It had a kettle and a teapot, a single serving moka pot for coffee, toaster, microwave, and a gas oven/stove. The wall unit for HVAC kept the apartment cozy. The washing machine was a nice convenience with the option to line dry or use a rack. The TV and wifi worked wonderfully. The apartment is only a short 12 minute walk from Stazione Santa Maria Novella. The historic center of Firenze is walkable too. There are grocery stores and restaurants within close walking distance too. I did day trips to Siena and Pisa while there. I visited from 4-3 to 10/3 during the COVID 19 virus. It wasn't until 8/3 that museums began to close. My final day was when more serious restrictions were imposed. Marco and Patrizia's San Jacopino apartment is a wonderful place to stay and receives my highest recommendation.

This inner city apt. has all you nee,d to go exploring the site of Florence. Marco was a fine host and even met us at the tram stop upon our arrival and led us a short distance to our. Apt. It was clean and efficient.

Great experience.

Marco was very helpful and accommodating with our schedule. We were able to check in at 10:30 which was wonderful because we didn’t need to worry about our luggage. It is very close to the train station. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to go. When we didn’t want to walk it was really easy to catch a taxi due to the location. Perfect for two people. Also a huge plus was the air conditioning.

Clean, efficient, no frills studio apartment about 1-2 miles from all main city sights.

Owner is great but limited English. Don’t expect restaurant recommendations or many amenities. Bring a map so you can use public transportation. Coffee shop downstairs is adequate. Big plus: a washing machine and clothesline. Only a small loveseat and eating table so don’t plan on hanging out inside for long.

Perfect location. Lovely apartment.

Beautiful studio apartment with great air con which was needed. Lots of kitchen utensils to use. Only suggestion would be a small table on the balcony to put a glass of wine 🥂. Couldn’t fault it though. Highly recommend. Marco perfect host and very helpful. Quieter to stay outside centre as manic with tourists. Beware that when we arrived at Florence Centrale train station, a beggar hogged the tram ticket machine, pushed the buttons, grabbed our 5€, gave us our tickets and put his hand out for the change. We didn’t have much option as he wouldn’t moved away from the machine. Then on the tram a sweet old man tried to unbutton my husbands pocket in the leg of his cargo shorts and take his wallet. Luckily he felt it and shouted out ‘pick pocket’ to a crowded carriage and no one said anything. Not a good start to our arrival. Easy 10 minute walk to apartment which we wished we had done but thought might be too hard which luggage but walked back to station on our departure and not far at all.

The apartment was very nice with all the required amenities, the host recommended some good places to visit. Apartment was at the back so little noise from the main road. People living above the apartment that can be heard but this didn't disturb our sleep.
