Restaurant service needs to improve. Dinner service was very slow and we had to ask twice for drinks, they just totally forgot about it. However food was delicious. Buffet breakfast was poor, not worth the price. We noticed a big group having breakfast before us, so basically we had to eat leftovers, for example only one piece of cheese was left and the staff didn't added more cheeses, scramble eggs were cold, not a good bread selection, no fruits. Nobody care to ask if we need something.

Historic site that tells many stories, and all of the accommodations are up to date and comfortable. Staff is easy and knowledgeable.

This is a special property! Dog and family friendly, food was superb and atmosphere is so peaceful. The pool area is very nice and we'll thought put. Special touches everywhere. Highly recommended. We will be back for sure!

Lovely and well decorated hotel and room. Every amenity well catered for. Loved the rituals toiletries and excellent shower area. Location was perfect in old town Saumur, everything in walking distance. Parking by owner quick and convenient. Would stay again.

First, the hotel room, staff and location were great. It would have been nice to know that major construction has been going on for a while, and will continue for some time to come. In absolute fairness, this did NOT impact sleep at the place. It did distract from a welcoming feeling. Trucks, cranes etc were the first thing we saw as we got there. The parking (regardless of construction) is limited in the immediate area, but the Hotel has an arrangement with the immediately adjacent parking lot so that worked out good. The area in front of the hotel is the parking lot, so the ambiance of the place is not wonderful. However, everything you need is within easy walk from the hotel.
