While the resort was fine, parking is very expensive per day and the Mermaids were non-existent.That was the main reason we stayed there but were told they may or not return but were still advertised on their website.

Staff were amazing, rooms definitely need some work / maintenance and desperately need to be updated. The location is what really makes this hotel stand out from the others as it is right on the beach and you do not need to cross the road or worry about traffic to get to the beach. Overall a great spot to stay

Blasting music at 745 am is not relaxing. People just waking up and trying to hear the peaceful crashing waves. It is so annoying and many people complaining music is too loud. Older people get up early. Partiers sleep in and don't even get to pool until noon. On 2-20-26 at 743 am I called the front desk to see if it needs to be on this early, a man stated he would have them turn it down. It never happened. Request ignored. Then called again and they said it would not be turned down. Next for the amnt of money we pay we shouldn't have to hike to go find the only microwave in the hotel on the 3rd floor of the main bldg and bldg across the street. Need one near ice machines at least in all bldgs. Can't even warm your coffee. Very inconvenient. There should be one by each ice machine. People consider all of this when deciding on whether or not to make this a yearly vacation.

The staff at the front check in were super helpful and kind. Expedia messed up my room that I booked. Expedia was supposed to book 2 double beds and a balcony but when I arrived they had a king and no balcony. The front desk was super helpful and was able to get me a double bed room with an amazing view of the ocean and beach.

I don’t know who called this a 4 star hotel. Maybe it was at one time. Maybe ICE came and took all of the staff. It certainly has nothing that a four star hotel has. There a two disgruntled staff members to check people in while everyone stands in line with nowhere to sit in the lobby. You can get 2 venti Starbucks for 30 dollars while you wait which makes paying 15 for the same thing at home seem really cheap! The entertainment is a constant stream of people interrupting to complain. When you finally get to the room you can tell it had been painted at some point because there was paint on the carpets, on the glass on the bathroom door. We stayed in a days in once and it was cleaner than this room. The carpet looked 30 years old. There was 1/4 inch of dust on the baseboards and cobwebs in the corners of the bathroom. The outlets did not work. There is no wifi. You cannot stream on their TVs. We stayed Thursday through Monday and had housekeeping on Friday only. We had to go get towels and toilet paper at the desk, which was an obvious problem for the staff by the heavy sighs we heard. We were in the hotel across the street. The door to the street was open, requiring no key. The elevator required no key. The doors were open and unlocked with access to the street. No cameras no security. There are two small pools with old dirty chairs to lay on. I could go on and on. Never again. We stayed at the HARD ROCK, a real 4 star hotel for the next 3 days. What a pleasure it was.
