Dana our property manager was awesome. The property was just as it was listed. The house was very spacious and roomy for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked for all our needs. Dana even made breakfast for us - that is going above and beyond. We will be back for sure. We have family in the area and the location was perfect. Thanks again Dana!!

Super Friendly Host

Our stay was fabulous. We were in town for a wedding and selected the property. It was beautiful perfect with 4 bedrooms. The location was right off the main road but you felt like you were in the country as very peaceful. One family member had forgotten a few things and she reached out to us and connected so we could get them. Highly recommend - friendly - very accommodating - nicely decorated!

Amazing house and hospitality!

We were three adult siblings and spouses from two distant states that met to enjoy four days together. Our destination was to experience historic Nauvoo, Illinois which was a very reasonable distance away. We loved the beautiful farmland drive. We actually spent less time in Nauvoo than we had originally planned so we could just relax at the house and sit on the back patio and visit and eat out there. We were very fortunate that the weather was surprisingly perfect. The house is beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need, roomy, and so very comfortable. Dana was so sweet and came over right away with yummy cinnamon rolls and an egg bake for our breakfast the next morning. So good and so thoughtful! We would definitely stay there again or recommend it to others.

Beautiful home with peaceful surroundings

My family of 9 (6 adults and 3 children) were back in Fort Madison for a family reunion. The house is situated in a beautiful, peaceful country surrounding. Our animal loving granddaughter really enjoyed seeing the neighbor's chickens, bunnies and especially the chipmunk. There were plenty of activities/games to keep the kids busy during our down time. The house is very roomy with two living room areas which came in handy after the younger kids went to bed. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms plus a family/game room which can be used for additional sleeping. The kitchen is very spacious and well stocked. Dana baked delicious blueberry muffins and butter bars to welcome us to the house. Our 3 night stay was couldn't have been better. We look forward to our next stay. Thanks for everything, Dana!

Cute farm house

We chose this property for its convenience to Historical Nauvoo. We had multiple generations stay in the house and everyone was comfortable. The property manager went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we asked for and more. Our air beds were blown up and made for us. There was a delicious coffee cake waiting on the table and cold lemonade in the fridge when we went into the house. There was a binder full of local information and notes around the house to make our stay pleasant.

Exactly what we needed

I took several staff members on a planning retreat and used Dana's place as our meeting place. It was just what we needed. The setting peaceful, removed from town, but easily accessible to surrounding towns, restaurants etc. Dana was very easy to communicate with and a few extras she provided put the hospitality over the top!

Country Life

This was a great place to stay. We had a wedding to attend and this property worked wonderfully for my family. My daughter was able to have the downstairs area with her family, while the other adults had the upstairs. We enjoyed meals together and when the kids needed naps, they we able to go downstairs. We enjoyed the peaceful countryside with being close to town.

So cute and cozy

The house had such fun and homey touches (especially a homemade treat to welcome us when we arrived). My kids really loved the lightning bugs and the bikes. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer, and lots of extras in the kitchen, oil, salt and pepper, plastic wrap, zip lock bags... etc, and some extra toiletries in case we forgot anything. And the neighbor had great farm fresh eggs to buy. The list of things to do and places to eat was very helpful. This was a great home base for us while visiting historic sites across the river in Nauvoo.

Comfy and spacious

We traveled to Iowa for a soccer tournament in Burlington. A few families decided to go together to rent this property and it worked out really well. Parent's utilized each of the four bedrooms and the kids (ages 12 & 13) decided to sleep in the lower level family room. The property owner had brought over an Xbox for the kids to play with and it was a hit! The home is quite spacious, and there are 2 bedrooms with bathrooms on the lower level and 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom upstairs. The property is very clean and has everything you would ever need. There are many vintage items throughout the house which gives it it's charm! Will definitely stay again if we come to the area!

Lovely home and property

We had an enjoyable stay at Dana's home. It was much larger than we anticipated and gave us plenty of room to spread out. There were two living room areas with tv's so kids could be in one location while adults in another. All the amenities you could ever need in the kitchen and a nice patio/deck with seating outdoors. A laundry room with supplies was fantastic as this was our midway stopping point on vacation. This home did not have a/c, as many of the other homes I researched in the area. We were there during a heat spell and it got quite warm in the afternoon/evening. However the lower basement level (2 bedrooms) stays a bit cooler and the upper level (2 bedrooms) had ceiling fans that were helpful. With a shower just before bed and the fans running we slept quite well in the comfortable beds. My parents enjoyed looking at the antiques scattered throughout the home. Great location. We were only about a 15 minute drive over the Mississippi River and into Nauvoo where we spent most of our daytime hours. Thank you Dana, for hosting us in your home and your hospitality. Would definitely recommend.
