Spend your money somewhere else…

As a former frequent traveler, I always used to love staying at Holiday Inn’s. They were always nice, had a great breakfast spread, and the shower was to die for. Now? I’ll go somewhere else. This particular hotel needs to get some staff. They had one person working the front desk doing the job of about 4 people. This is not ok. I booked two rooms, and one of them was still dirty. I had requested that the rooms be close together, but the closest they could get us was about 10 rooms apart. The only good thing was that they were on the same level, so I’ll give them a plus one there. Upon inspection of the second room (that took probably 20 minutes to get because of the one person at the front desk being overworked) the toilet continuously ran, the shower spit out dirt from the faucet, and overall it reeked of marijuana in the halls. I’m from Michigan, so the smell doesn’t bother me however it’s not something I expected or wanted to smell in a state where marijuana isn’t legal. On a positive note, the pool was very nice. Even had some chairs built in so you could be in the water without swimming. My son had a blast. However in order to get into the pool area you had to have the front desk staff let you in…the other positive was breakfast. Holiday Inn is at least consistent in their breakfast spread. If you want a clean bed to sleep in and a good pool, it is okay if you have the patience of a saint. I however do not, so I will not be staying here again.

The staff were all friendly & accommodating. We had to ask for sheets & blankets for the pull out couch even though we listed kids were staying with us. Breakfast was hot & staff quick to keep everything stocked. The pool was nice but other guests kids were not being monitored by their parents & were getting loud, obnoxious, & unruly. So we got out & didn't get to enjoy the pool as much as we would've liked. I understand that staff dont have control over guests but maybe there could be something that could help with this.

Our origin room had flaws and we were taken to a second room that was missing a chair and the desk lamp would not light. We were told they would send someone to fix both and the someone never came. We asked for at least another lamp. Again we were told someone would bring it and someone never showed.

Terrible - Skip this Hotel

Receptionist said room on quiet side away from highway. Clearly an idiot, was on highway side, couldnt sleep all night so noisy. Also bathroom tiles all heaved and cracked. Dangerous and dirty. Disgusting.

This was my first time staying in this area and I had a great experience. The only thing I can complain about were black ants in the room. I’m not sure how bad ants are in this area but it they were all on the floor. I didn’t bother requesting another room because it didn’t bother me for the one night I stayed but they were there and I had to make sure to store my food soon as I finished eating.
